Seems like you might as well just make ip masq instead of SP before you go into apo. Its a complete waste of a card to link into a typical end board piece and then send it to the gy without even using it. at least ip masq would give apollousa protection

the "purest" version of goblin is 10 goblin cards in a 40 cards deck and 2 in extra, 12/55 => ~22% pure modern yu gi oh ...

I've alt-tabbed out of master duel waiting for it to connect and missed choosing first/second. Also, if it says I have two or less seconds left when I hit first/second, I swear it completely ignores my choice

Is there something I'm overlooking? Why is S:P being made to only be linked away for Apollousa? Is it just to show off making S:P for the immediate banish is possible if needed?

It's actually one reason, and the other might be because he already has too many spaces occupied by monsters that he's not willing to link away for appolusa, so he does that extra step so he would have enough link materials without sacrificing his important monsters. And if that's all there's to it, you can substitute S:P with any other valid link 2 monster if you're going first

i mean special summon spam is just modern yugioh in a nutshell and ppl hate stun because the objective of the deck is literally to not allow the opp to play the game, that's why it's hated

His opponent was playing Ra and had no interruptions in their opening hand. This is to be expected from modern YGO.
