It's crazy how the seasons vary. So far this had been our best year yet. Even though we screwed up early and and had tons of swarming issues which caused laying workers. On top of that a freak drough in may and June and still slammed away tons of honey. Goldenrodd is about to explode which could mean another massive harvest. Keep up the work Ian love your stuff

Wow, that is a lot of bees. I would be moving them into 10 frame boxes. Curious to see your plan.

Overwinter in 6 frame nucs. He also overwinters 5 frame nucs.

@@tangsu7128 earlier Ian had said that since he isn't getting any more nectar he is making bees. If these very strong colonies are moved out of this equipment, it could be given to the newly made colonies, to grow into the 6's by winter as well as the 6's to grow into the 10's by winter. It seems like a big lift for a new colony to go "zero-to-sixty" new colony to 10-frame by winter in the 2-3 brood cycles left. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the replies!
