Totally agree. As much as I like current Labor leader Anthony Albanese, he's really just Kim Beasley mark II. Wong would make an EXCELLENT Labor leader and Prime Minister. She takes no prisoners, is not intimidated by men and speaks her mind without the waffle we've all come to expect from most other politicians.

I’m pretty happy with Albo. If he does not win the next election (which I’m hopeful that he will), I think she should have a go at the leadership, if a seat in the House of reps is available. Otherwise, simply putting a member of the house of reps who already holds a seat, such as Tanya Plibersek would be an easier option. Tanya and Penny are great, but given the last time we had a female PM or leader of a party, I’m not confident it will work out. I could be wrong though.

The editing of the video clips seems a little misleading. On first watch, I was astounded when it seemed like Simon told Penny he thought her behaviour was inappropriate. On second watch, it is clear there has been a cut in the video, and he is responding to another comment. Separately, this is just another reason why a robust Federal ICAC is absolutely necessary. No, not a toothless tiger that the Coalition is proposing - a real ICAC that has both the mandate, and the powers to root out corruption at the Federal level, and especially where politicians are involved. Instead of the pollies telling us "If you've got nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear" while they make sure they're exempt from the rules, its time they led by example.

The $30mln airport land deal in West Sydney was cheap . Penny says it was only worth $3 mln , what a lie . You cant buy a decent house in Sydney for under $2mln . Why would you expect an acreage landholder to sell a Govt Development Approved international airport & runway for $3mln. As usual Penny is Wrong .

So, you're a liberal troll. If you had read the INDEPENDENT review, you would have seen that every valuation 9f that land put it at $3 million. NOT or nowhere even remotely close to the $30 million the federal government paid the owner, who just happens to be a Liberal donor. Does that not raise questions in your mind. It certainly raises questions in the minds of EVERY intelligent voter in Australia, and quite a number of critical thinkers overseas. The entire deal reeks of corruption.
