Lost my grandfather last night. He's a genuine believer and that gave me hope that we'll meet on the other side. [06/06, 12:55 pm] Raymond Reang: I stared at the words of Philippian 1:21, etched in my heart and eternally tied to the memory of *Aachu*. "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." These words echoed in my mind, resonating with the essence of his life that had now slipped away. Achu had embodied this profound truth with unwavering devotion, always pointing others to the surpassing worth of Christ. [06/06, 12:56 pm] Raymond Reang: As I grappled with the weight of Aachu's departure, those words offered a flicker of solace. My beloved friend had gained the ultimate prize, having reached the very presence of the Lord. Achu's life had been a testament to the truth of Philippian 1:21. His every breath, every action, was a reflection of the abiding presence. Rest easy, Achu. I find solace in knowing that you have found eternal peace with the Lord. Your love towards us is truly unforgettable and immeasurable, as it emanated from your mind with utmost purity and genuine affection. You were an instrumental part of God's plan, shaping me into the person I am today. Until we reunite on the other side, your memory will remain eternally cherished. With heartfelt love, Raymond

So sorry for your loss. It must be painful. My mother passed in May of 2015, at the age 92, 15 years after my dad passed away at 81. Their 47 years of marriage was indeed a blessing to all of us, but my mother's years alone were very tough on her. I cared for her all those years, and when she passed, I had this comforting poem printed in her funeral announcement. May it bring peace to you and yours, even now. *Gone From My Sight* I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone." Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me -- not in her. And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone," there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!" And that is dying... ~ Henry Van Dyke Here are a couple of other helpful resources. www.hopefortheheart.org/free/ (Grief recovery is at the top of the list.) www.gotquestions.org/overcoming-grief.html God be with you till you see her again.

That made me smile.....before my husband died, he and I planned the congregational singing for his coming service. Two or three times during those weeks as we finished our little list (In Christ Alone, Great is Thy Faithfulness, etc) he said with a bit of ruefulness, "Oh this is going to be good!!" After the second or third time he expressed that, I had to chuckle and say to him, "You do realize you won't be there????" and then we laughed and cried together. Again. He was right, by the way. It was SO good. We KNEW the congregation loved SINGING, and what better time to sing songs of faith.....yes.

this song reminds me so much about my pastor in the lord that has passed on, at the end of every camp meeting we will all sing this song and hug ourselves as we depart, some of us do cry, and listening to it here again just bring back all those memory, because some of the brethrens i do sing and hug in the camp some we see again while so would have gone to be with the lord before another camp. God bless you SESAMONTE

I'm so sorry about your husband, my deepest condolence to you, trust me I completely understand how you feel, I lost my wife 3yrs ago to a horrible heart attack, it was a terrible experience for me but I kept strong for my little daughter hoping for the best future for her, time does heal the broken heart expecially when you're around the right people, life goes on because the future and our happiness is all that really matters because our past doesn't it's just full of both sad and happy memories of our loved one's that passed away, I'd love to talk to you more if you don't mind, I'd have drop my cell # here but I'm not sure about that it'd be nice if you send me your email address so I can reach out on you.???

I love this song because I know it’s version in my local language. It’s very touching and speaks for the moment! Grandpa and sweet cousin Elijah, till we meet again. Thinking about you all the time. Rest in power. Miss you everyday!

My wife and I lost our son to multiple medical problems at his age of only 29 some years back. I again think of him every time I hear//sing this hymn. He was faithful to our Lord at the time of his passing, and thus we feel we will be reunited with him in Heaven above if we, my wife and I of over 46 years now, remain "stedfast, firm to the end" of our lives remaining faithful to our Lord. He was our only child.

Never will I forget this Great Hymn when as a wee child I witnessed my Grandpa Reverend Pastor JOSEPH KATALA wa KABAMBA coffin being lowered six feet under in LUEBO APCM (American Presbyterian Congo Mission) in DR Congo, following his recall by Our Father on this fateful day of 10-10-1973. Airs of GOD BE WITH YOU TILL WE MEET AGAIN (Tshiluba version) are still echoing in my ears nearly 45 years later as his death anniversary is less than 3 weeks from now. Thank you guys! THANK YOU!! REST IN PEACE Reverend!!!

God Bless all of those who lot their lives today by a shooter at a synogogue in PA, and their surviving families. Beautiful hymn. “Goodbye” is actually an acronym for “God be with you”. In Spanish, “adios”, means “towards God”. Love to all.

I remember at the church related private college where I went all those years ago how this hymn would be sang in chapel the last day of the regular semester as summer approached and the spring semester was over. On and on I could go. So many memories and meaning to this wonderful hymn for me.

Mikky, I am working now but can't bear the thought that we will not talk or meet again until eternity. I just listened to this hymn that we all sang back in school whenever we were going on a holiday. The lyrics were more meaningful and really touched my heart. My mother passed away in 2015 at age only 62 because of excessive chemo therapies she forced herself to get and after it reoccurred a year later in 2014 and she was diagnosed with 3rd stage ovarian cancer 4 years ago. This makes my soul feel heavy laden for her early departure. I wish that rapture will get me home where my mother is awaiting for me now or just go to sleep one day and I wake up and there is already surrounded by holy mansions at the throne of third heaven.

The pinnacle of all the things we will see in Heaven are not the streets of gold, not the friends (although that will be a most sweet joy), but seeing our dear Saviour, Jesus Christ waiting for us. Until we meet our Saviour, we are encouraged by our brethren, and we will all meet over yonder.

Our faith has a meeting around Easter time called, "Training For Service". At the end of it one year, the song leader led this song. The next February, my wife and I and our three small girls were scheduled to move from Southwestern Ontario to Norman Wells in the North West Territories. Being sung by some 800 people, it was a VERY moving and touching experience and I cried like a child. I'll NEVER forget it and that was 30 years ago.

I remember this hymn from when I was a little boy, singing it along with the crowd on the docks in Sydney as we farewelled some missionaries who were sailing for Africa, I think. Back in those days there was no such thing as furlough, or home visits; most missionaries who went overseas went to the field and went home to be with The Lord from the field... This hymn had real meaning, for them, and for those farewelling them.
