@@Lucifronz Pay it a revisit. It's always cool to restart games you didn't played for 10 years because you were too young and couldn't beat them. But with the years you got better and smash the monsters like nothing. Did this with Monster Hunter Freedom, Freedom 2 and Freedom Unite after playing the latest installment in 2014/2015 before MHGenU came out (got no Switch) and it was hilarious to speedrun the hardest monsters.

I'm 30 hours in to the game and i think i'm nearing the end of the main campaign and I can say with confidence that i really enjoyed my time with the game. First of all I can't comment on the online since i haven't touched it at all. In terms of gameplay this game is fantastic. The variey of weapons makes experimenting very fun especially since all the weapons have customizable movesets. The game is super smooth and it feels satisfying to hit monsters similar to monster hunter. Personally I enjoyed the story, it's nothing super deep but it gives me another thing to look forward to after every mission. Overall I don't regret waiting for the switch version. If you are in to mission based type games i highly recommend this game.

I've come to really respect companies that do proper ports. It really shows that they care about the game and aren't just making a port for the sake of it. In a weird way the switch really rewards developers for putting in the extra effort, and it also really highlights how special a good port can be. Up until the switch I don't think I really appreciated all the work developers put into ports, I think I just assumed or hoped that if I bought the same game on one console it would function the same on another. I know the switch is weaker than most consoles today, and that not everything can function the same between consoles like the PS4 or Xbox One but I do think it's really special when all things fall into place and you can actually enjoy a game like it's meant to be. The switch may be limiting but because of those limitations you can really see something unique, something I might've have never noticed otherwise...

I appreciate it, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I respect it. I mean it's the default. It's what should be standard, it's just not because most companies are shit. But yeah, it's nice that this port isn't a giant hunk of garbage and they actually put in serious effort developing and publishing the game for Switch. Gives me a good reason to buy the game on this platform instead of passing it up for an obviously superior version. Also it's nice to see that God Eater 3 seems to be much less... "chunky" for lack of a better word, than Gods Eater Burst on PSP, the first and only game in the series I've ever played. Characters in this are agile as hell and can dodge and attack with serious speed. In the PSP game you were too realistically challenged at holding your giant weapon. Which is fine if the game is designed around you defeating enemies before they reach you, but this is a game where an enemy can and will reach you over and over and over again, sometimes without you getting a single hit in because they've knocked you on your ass time and again. Big, power, agile enemies require agile or at least sturdy players to combat them and when you can't even stand up in the game, you're not going to compare much. It's why I still haven't beaten that game. I got tired of one boss where I only had a single ally to help me out and it took over half an hour just to wittle it down, inevitably killing me because I ran out of curatives. Fun game, but seriously flawed. This game has a better mix of Code Vein's style with the Monster Hunter series' gameplay. Definitely caught my interest when I noticed that. Code Vein was basically Dark Souls but anime, at least in terms of the combat system, but in all the right ways. It felt unique from it without feeling too far to the point that it wasn't fun. So anything that's close to that with God Eater has my attention.

I am completely new to the franchise as this is the first title I played and I have to tell you guys, it really is awesome and definitely worth a buy for everyone who hast the slightest interest in action games. The frame rate is very good, game looks nice as well with all the effects going on the screen in bigger fights. The possibility of playing this on the go is also the cherry on the cake for me. Guys, if you didn't try the demo - go ahead and do it, if you like the demo, give this one a purchase, it's a really stunning game.

Definitely a good version. Devs realized that they fucked up by not making a handheld version since it's mainly been a handheld franchise. Unlike Monster Hunter World, this costed them lots of money. Either way, the game is good on all versions. Buy it. Or not whatever.

Im so glad the Nintendo Switch got a God Eater game! I never imagined the game or the series to even show up in a system other than the PlayStation Vita or 4, but I'm so glad for it! The series is a hidden gem for me and enjoy it way more than the Monster Hunter series, as I'm not a fan of the series at all (but respect people who do enjoy the series and all my complaints are also positives in a different light). But I'm hoping the God Eater series get ported over, such as Resurrection/a remake of the first game and 2 Rage Burst

Been playing Gods Eater and Monster Hunter (started on Freedom Unite) since PSP. All I needed was the first couple of minutes to purchase for my OLED Switch. God Eater is similar, but is as much fun as Monster Hunter while retaining originality. The pre-hunt is more simple than MH, but that’s nothing really because every new MH gets streamlined further anywho.

ChiGuy God Eater 3 never launched on Xbox One, I think your mixing it up with the upcoming Code Vein (which looks similar and by the same publisher), which will launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this year. Ironically, if God Eater 3 is skipping anything, it will be Xbox One, unfortunately.

Makes sense for GE3 to skip Xbox One cause in Japan the install base is so low for the Xbox that it really isn't worth it to develop for. Even worldwide the Xbox one install base is not really that great it's gotten better but it would be smarter to develop for the Switch and PS4.

There's a demo out, so those interested I recommend trying it out. Honestly I'm not totally sold yet. Mainly because if it's similar to MH then that includes grinding online. not really a fan of the CC either. it's bishouen husbando or anime tiddie waifu. no change to make them look older, no different body types. you're stuck as thin build teenager, quite limited outside of cosmetic flare. sadly this is so common for action JRPGs with CC, honestly best CC ive seen for this genre (tho its WRPG styled) is Dragon's Dogma for sure. they did CC right and it affected your run speed, jumping and item limit too. CC = character creator
