@@RenoKyrie GE Resurrection and GE2 Rage Burst are very similar in both gameplay and graphics, GE3 is the first game on current gen and that is why it looks so much different from previous entries. GER is like a remake of the original God Eater for the PSP with extra story, GE2RB is more or less the same, GE3 is the first "chapter" of the story, so expect some DLC that will expand it, Resonant Ops and Online are mobile games, but they are not required to understand the lore. So yeah, there are a lot of remasters and remakes in this series. P.s. if you want to approach the series, I recommend playing God Eater: Resurection, God Eater 2 Rage Burst, and then God Eater 3 in this order. (all available on PS4 and PC)

They left us hanging on a lot of plot points in this game. I hope there’s one more update in the works that closes those plot holes. The Ragnarock project, the other sages, the artificial intelligence, even Doctor Inukai. There needs to either be a patch with more story content, or a direct sequel

Devin West each game features a new set of characters, while characters from previous games have appeared (one is actually in this video) it’s not necessary, you could just look online some lore details

The anime covers a bit of the first game's story, I suppose you don't need to play the previous games since the story is not centered around the characters of God Eater and God Eater 2 anymore but surely some of them will appear in God Eater 3

In fact in terms of playing it on order I'd really suggest playing the first one cuz there are still lore points in God Eater 2 that probably won't make sense of you don't play the first one...again that's just my opinion I guess. Soo far the weapon we have are in GE3 are From God eater 1: Long sword, Short sword, Buster sword From God eater 2: Scythe, Hammer, Spear(I didnt forget Spear again) From God eater 3: Dual blades and Heavy Moon blade But thats the Meele weapon dont know about Gunners......

from the looks of 0:34 soma will make a return at some point which means of the cast from the first god eater he is only one left. especially after what happened to lindow in the previous two games! not to mention since its been so long since the original, its a safe bet that lenka is long since dead via oracle cell erosion and didn't even shack up with alisa even once while he was alive which is a damned shame to say the least!

What is certain is that they were developed by Fenrir HQ (not to be confused with Far East Branch), stated to be the "Anti-Aragami Weapon" and they need really expensive catalysts to operate.
