Most of the things the guy on the video does are completely useless. He does it for style and fancy video, but the game doesn't support nor encourage this in any way. The amount of actually useable and useful options is pretty limited. You can't even non-lethally take down guards in fights without special type of ammo. In context of chaos system and immersive-sim nature of the game these fancy moves and kills are completely out of character and out of the narrative. They would be appropriate in DMC-like games, which are about style.

1:14 - 1:21 were the most impressive to me, even though they involved the least amount of special powers and movement. Couldn't have choreographed it better in any action movie. I imagine most of those required at least a few 'takes' to get so smooth?
@mancamiatipoola11 ай бұрын
A few takes? Bro, the guy has 1000 hours in the game LOL! I think he views every enemy location as a combat puzzle, so he must have quick saved before every enemy room/location and done it dozens of times until he figured out a nice setup and power combo and got a good execution of it all. Would love to see the outtakes tho :)
@Se7enRemain3 ай бұрын
Most of the game is relatively deterministic, to such a degree that you could theoretically kill every outdoor enemy by shooting arrows into the sky. However, lots of these things are so tricky that they will take a couple tries. 1:14-1:21 is relatively consistent. You could learn the theory, boot up the game and likely perform this display with 80% consistency in a matter of minutes

I’ve got about 2000 hours into Dishonored between PS3 and PS4 Special Edition with all DLC and about 750-1000 hours into Dishonored 2 on PS4 and I can’t even touch this level of skill on my best day. The same is true for Hitman: Blood Money on Xbox 360, Hitman: Absolution on PS3 (which despite its many changes in how stealth works and it’s departure from the huge playground type levels of Blood Money, I still really loved) and the newest Trilogy on PS4. I’m good but not this good. The Blood Money and Trilogy speedruns are so much fun, too. Especially the newest games and how much you can break them with a damn Blueberry Muffin. The AI in Blood Money is so hilariously and easily manipulated that it becomes a whole new game once you know its ins and outs. A great example is how in everyone’s favourite mission, “A New Life,” you can mess with the AI so much that Vinny’s FBI Limo that screeches into the gated community in the event of large disturbance like an RU-AP mine explosion in the right spot at the right time and with a quick subsequent “You’re not supposed to be here,” manipulation of the FBI agents the agents sworn to protect this valuable state’s witness will kill Vinny for you by running him down street with the responding limousine meant,to,protect him. Oh, and in first mission after the tutorial level in the Colombian “vineyard” how you can immediately run into the building that Delgado the Younger goes into, drop,a coin behind him and run away, he will give chase without your suspicion meter going into the red, again, following you to the end of the earth (in reality to the cliff edge) to tell you that you’re not supposed to be there, and out of sight from everybody including his myriad guards sworn to protect him, then simply pushing him over the fence and off the cliff. So satisfying. AI manipulation in that game is unmatched and the ability to human shield guards and knock them out with the butt of your pistol to preserve your sedatives has never come back to the game, but I wish they would reimplement that ability in the newer games.

Most replayed section 0:14 - 9:00 I think the reason the Outsider gave people some of his powers was to watch a guy do something like this. With all the powers maxed out you become a time god and also a flash of lightning. Thos moments when you maneuvered people in front of their own bullets and the scene when you took out Havelok in a time warp were better scenes than any Quicksilver or Flash scenes from superhero movies. The fact that this game allows you to become a stealth ninja that moves like a ghost or a fast as lightning super villain that can dispatch dozens of enemies in a few seconds is quite amazing. Bravo, sir, you truly became one of the biggest super villains of Dunwal. From hence forth you shall be known as the Reaper of Dunwal.
