I remember when I first played God Eater. (I played Resurrection then Rage Burst). In my first play-through I had a Sword, Assault Gun, and standard Shield. Eventually, I fell in love with the Variant Scythe because of its multi-hitting Extend Bite and I've only relied on that melee weapon ever since. Hell, I've never even relied on elemental weapons. I've tried the different guns and shields, but just didn't like them as much as my set. Well, except the Shotgun... never touching that. Now that the Raygun is in the mix... It's a weapon with OP Reserves that I can fire while moving around, unlike the Blast Gun. In the other God Eater games, only the Assault Rifle and the Shotguns were the ones that allowed that kind of movement. In the Demo, I loved filling my Oracle up just to unleash 3 stocks worth of energy right into an Aragami's face. I also tried the Heavy Moon and Biting Edge, but the Scythe is still my favorite and I now enjoy using the Raygun. I so can't wait for February 2019...

I have absolutely no idea what the Ash Aragami are called in the English localization. 灰域種 is literally "Ashen Species" and I remember hearing something about Ashfalls so yeah.

Right right. Before anyone wrongfully tells me my translations are incorrect again, at 1:00 they say: さらに銃形態では、ブラストが進化遂げたレイガンは登場。 It translates to exactly "As for Gun Forms, Blast has achieved an Evolution and the Ray Gun makes an appearance."

I wonder how busted final burst arts will be once people figure them out? Those skills were as broken as the blast gun after seeing players solo rank 99 missions without blood rage and beat them just as fast. I honestly had no idea melee was that powerful before seeing that level of play from pros.

I wouldn't call them broken though because unlike the Blast Gun, they required some degree of skill on the players part to be used successfully. Judging from how they're marketing the game, melee may be the focus this time around.

These ash Aragami remind me of the Dyaus Pita variant in Resurrection. The red tendrils on the body, the red burst colored abilities.... hmm. I wonder if its a type of ash aragami that migrated to the far east.
