I am aware of a pastor God told not to go into debt for the large addition to his church. He obeyed, and one night God woke him up at midnight and told him to go get a shovel and start digging the footers by hand. He instantly obeyed, and after digging for 20 minutes, a big white truck pulled up and the driver asked what he was doing. When the pastor told him, the man said Hod told him to start driving 7 hours earlier, and when he found a person digging footers with a shovel, he was to tell him to stop and build his building for free!!!

Please keep in mind that the full teaching on tithing involves a 3 year cycle. In the first two years, the tither saved his tithe (never money by the way) each year. At the end of the year the tithe was required to travel to Jerusalem and share (not totally give it away) his/her tithe not only with the priest, but with the widow, the orphan, the stranger, and the poor. He ate from his own tithe with those it was shared with. The third year, the tithe was similarly saved, but it was shared among similar people groups in their own home town. The only time the tithe was money, was if the tithe was to large to transport to Jerusalem, then the tithe would sell the tithe for money, take the money to Jerusalem, then upon arrival, purchase whatever food or drink they desired, and share that with the above mentioned peoples. Also, even if the tithe were only for the Priests (which it is not), since all believers are Kings and Priests, w would all be worthy to receive the tithe!
