God Gundam RG | Satisfying Gunpla Beat Building (ASMR)

Although released in 1994, the G Gundam anime was introduced in the Philippines in 1999. I should remember, I had my Mama buy me an action figure of God Gundam, and had the Dragon Gundam figure as the centerpiece of my birthday cake. So it was no surprise that when Bandai announced the God Gundam RG back in 2022, I just knew then that I had to build it. After Gundam Wing, the G Gundam Series is a cherished childhood core memory. My hands got burning red one time building the God Gundam RG for how unusually small it is even for a Real Grade haha. Having the Nu Gundam as my first RG kit must have really deceived me; I didn't realize how small Real Grades can get! But aside from that, building RG God was a pretty straightforward and breezy experience. Unlike the Full Armor Unicorn, it almost has no weapons except for its two beam katanas. It made the build easier, sure, but its lack of armory, together with its small size, meant that the parts could not fill up the board when laid out in a grid (i.e. when knolled). I could've left it like that, but the set would've looked and felt incomplete without something else to fill the gap. And that's why we got the official Expansion Set that includes the 1/144 Fuunsaiki. A little underwhelming the official Fuunsaiki, I'm afraid. Barely any color separation, mostly compensated with stickers (ugh). And with little to no articulation, it was nothing more than a glorified display stand for your Gunpla, and so I treated it as such by not bothering to sand the nub marks haha. Fortunately, however, Effects Wings got a solution: A Fuunsaiki that can be considered a Real Grade version compared to the official one. Even the eyes were color-separated-not stickers! This, I heartily recommend, along with the DelpiDecal waterslides which are also better than its official counterpart. Due to a more streamlined production approach (I stop recording when airplanes fly by), the total length of the whole project footage is just under 24 hours. This meant faster editing, which just took about a week to finish. Still, the shooting process is tedious, what with neighborhood noise, ventilation forbidden, and camera overheating. But I'm resolved to make things faster, in fact, I wanna see if I can squeeze in another build video before the year ends. We'll see. Oh, did you catch the last surprise at the end? Haha, just a little homage to Domon's team-the original Gundam Boy Group (sorry Heero and gang)!

Point taken. The Fuunsaiki was the same exact horse included with the HGFC Master Gundam, which is why I don't see many buying that set for him when you can get the horse for cheaper with an older kit.

Ah that was a treat. Thanks for posting another gunpla video. They are nice and such a mood. Besides, it's always fun watching and trying to glance what kind of techniques you use while building. Particularly, what you did with the water decals. I have to say that I also HATE dealing with them, but the way you did (strapping the page down and then cutting) seems like a natural way to do things that really, never ocurred to me. (I build a few zoids and their decals sometimes makes me go nuts). Hope you keep doing this for the foreseeable future.
