Woke Theology continues to make waves on Tik Tok! Got another installment for you. In this video someone will claim that God is a queer, black woman. Another will claim that life has no meaning, and that's the REAL Gospel. As always, let's see what the Bible has to say :)

It's becoming increasingly frustrating, bcuz many of their assertions sound nonsensical. --They seem to believe that they're"arguing from authority" by saying "I was indoctrinated into the Church" or my parents are super Christian; while making wild claims about what the Bible says/teaches?! --Everyone reaches that age where they question authority, & independently seek out answers, but these young ppl were not raised with any authority?! --They weren't taught the basics; weren't given any kind of foundation or structure. --It's as if they're stuck in this perpetual state of rebellion; against themselves & their own nature?!

Many people don't voice what they believe and instead just voice what they think will offend. He isn't trying to express his own worldview, he's only trying to hurt feelings. "Hurt people hurt people" (injured people will injure others). I don't agree with this logic, there are many who have been hurt who intentionally avoid hurting others, but it is the excuse that some people use to justify their shitty behavior towards others. "I was bullied/oppressed/etc". Try to avoid taking these people at their word because they're not even trying to express what they believe, they are only trying to repay "an eye for an eye". Most likely a Christian offended their pride by proclaiming that they, like all of us, are sinners, and now they are trying to injure the pride of Christians.

Ignorant and hypocritical Christians or 'Christians' have done more damage to God's kingdom than any work of the devil. So many souls will be lost because they were treated with disdain by or got really terrible answers from Christians. It's why Paul emphasized love so much. One thing that really boggles the minds of unbelievers so often is the act of praying for them, just as we're instructed to in the Word. Pray for them when they confront you, ask God to pour blessings on their life and give them a heart that's receptive and ears that hear. Show them that you love them because God does and that 'it is not His will that any should perish.'

In respect to the bit about women being subservient to men; the way I’ve heard it put is, “A home is like a kingdom and the father/man is king of the home. There can’t be two kings at the same time because if both have equal authority, what happens when they disagree and there’s no time for debate? Chaos and the kingdom is weakened by indecision.” Not sure if it’s a good analogy but it made sense to me. Edit: What is denial? A river in Egypt of course.

Ephesians 5:25-33 King James Version 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church

The queer black woman thing comes from The Shack. I had to show my friend how that book wasn't raising her view of God like most people think the book does, but it was lowering it away from His actual revelation of Himself.
@Sousabird

I read the Shack, iirc wasn't the whole point that the protagonist of the Shack had racist and sexist views, and God was intentionally appearing to him that way to mess with his preconceptions/biases.
@middleclassboardgamer
@middleclassboardgamer 8 ай бұрын
@Sousabird the best way to be rid of biases that are based in sinful pride is to see God as He has revealed Himself to be in His Word. Giving a false and fictitious face to God does not do away with false preconceptions and biases, it merely creates different ones. So, if that was the goal of "god" in the book, he/she/it failed miserably, and if it was the goal of the author, he has also failed.

I was wondering about this. I read the Shack a long time ago when it started getting popular and when I got to that part I was extremely uncomfortable. Honestly, physical manifestation that limits God should probably make us uncomfortable. But I had to think for a while about if it was a racist/sexist view that made me feel this way. And I’ve come to decide that it’s just that in the Bible God is pretty intentionally called “He” and God is not of a race. God is mentioned with some typically “female” characteristics (like how he longs to gather us under his wings like a mother hen) but overall his image is that of headship, firm discipline, etc., which are more stereotypical “male” characteristics. Plus, Jesus refers to Him as Father. That last one is the nail in the coffin for this argument to me. In the end, I think my gut reaction to the black woman version of God in the Shack was valid and just a subconscious reaction to something that grated against what I knew to be true.

Regarding Man and women, God created everything in order of complexity hence women were created last as they are more complex biologically. Also God created Eve from Adam’s rib signifying that she was not the above or below Adam but equal. Regarding in Paul that was referring to women in church who would interrupt the speaker to ask their husbands questions as they would not sit together. I had a similar upbringing to you. I went to a Christian school (pre school through 12th grade). My parents only took us to church during specific times like when my dad's parents visited (grandpa was a Lutheran pastor and grandma was a school teacher at the church) or occasionally when my mom's parents begged us to go on Christmas/Easter/Lent, ect. My sister and I ended up consistently going for a summer after high school with my grandparents on my mom's side and we even switched churches to theirs. Both churches were in fellowship and we knew a lot of people there so it wasn't a shock. What was a shock was that some people thought we were married because we had the same last name but it was different from that set of grandparents. After that summer, my sister officially came out as gay and I got into drugs/alcohol with my uncle/friends and was lost for 10 years until the last couple of months when I have been at my lowest point in life and God found me again. It's been difficult and I've relapsed since then. I realize I should probably go back to church with my grandparents but I feel like a failure. Maybe it's best for my soul if I do the difficult thing and return to church with them and stop running from God. Christian KZbin has really helped me come back to faith. Your channel, Frank Turek, Mike Winger, ect have helped me spiritually more than I could have imagined. Thank you, and God Bless ❤🙏

The “nothing matters, so anything can” thing isn’t intellectually sustainable. It’s just permissive nihilism, which is just nihilism but hedonistic. It still would mean that no one’s life would mean anything. C. S. Lewis noted in Mere Christianity that if the universe was meaningless, then no one would ever be able to ever discover that it had no meaning, because meaning couldn’t be conceived of in the first place in such a world as that. He compared it to trying to communicate the idea of light to people in a world where light didn’t exist, and so, would be dark. But in such a world “dark” wouldn’t mean anything in a world like that, because darkness is just the the world would be; light wouldn’t exist to establish a contrast and give meaning to the word “dark.” In the same way, the notion of the universe having meaning wouldn’t enter into our minds if it wasn’t the nature of reality. Piper’s reasoning in the second video is… It doesn’t make sense. It’s just more nihilism.

12:07 - the woman there didn't define "rationalization" correctly, Nate. Rationalization - the action of attempting to explain or justify behavior or an attitude with logical reasons, even if these are not appropriate. She (like other pop-atheists) attempt to "re-define" words to suit their "agenda." She (like Kristi Burke, a "deconstructionist" I responded to on my channel) tries to say "you are all indoctrinated," without attempting to apply a shred of evidence for their claims, beyond "you just were, like I was." I have had PLENTY of opportunities to walk away from my faith over the years (see my Kristi Burke and Phalanx Initiative videos for more information), but Jesus is the ONLY ONE who never walked away from me. When EVERYONE ELSE did. Church goers, non-Christians, etc. It made no difference. But, Jesus is faithful. Praise God for Jesus, His Son, and his sacrifice and resurrection!

@@ciggystardust Welp, you tried. "Classic Christian response. "You didn't use that word correctly" "you took that verse out of context" and on and on and on. Just constantly shifting the goalposts, aren't we now?" Hypocrite much? Your side does this ALL THE TIME. And what verse hasn't been taken out of context by your side? Hmm? You all do that too! Son, look in the mirror for "shifting the goalposts." "What exactly did she say that wasn't in line with the definition of "rationalize" that you posted?" What WAS?! She didn't "define" anything CLOSE to "rationalize." She tried to re-define the WORD, son. "How did she contradict your definition of the word?" Because she doesn't know what "rationalize" is, son. And when you cannot properly define the word, you have no basis for attempting to define ANYTHING. "Because she said something you don't like and don't agree with?" Nope. It is because your side re-defines words all the time. Good luck with life, if you think her "definition" qualifies.

I’m not perfect as a Christian, but I believe wholeheartedly in the Lord Jesus Christ and hope that others find the light of Christ. These people are trying to justify their sin and refusing to let it go. But I can say confidently that my life is more peaceful when I trust in God as my light in my path and my sword and shield.

The girl with the glasses makes me incredibly sad. We HAVE to do a better job in raising our children in the faith in a way that invites questions. Which means we all (starting with parents, then pastors and teachers, and extending to the entire congregation) need to be far more responsible and committed to studying scripture and analyzing the reason we believe what we believe. If a young child or teen or young adult or even older person asks us a question about why we believe and aspect of our faith and all we can say is “uhhh I just do” we have FAILED them. So thankful I was raised by deeply read parents and around strong believers and experienced a university surrounded by peers who shared deep questions, doubts, and thoughts.

Just thought of something. Back when the British colonized early America, historians speak on the unfairness of the weapons used. We had gunpowder, muskets, advanced weaponry along those lines, and native americans had bows and daggers. However, now, those same people who sympathize with the past tribes are wanting citizens to have a disadvantage weapon-wise against our government. Its interesting..

My dad had no problem standing my sister and I up in church and loudly proclaiming come on kids we don't come church to hear this and walking out. He then sent a very strongly worded letter to the pastor. People go to church to hear the gospel, the word of God, keep your personal politics out of it. In fact, the data shows that it actually leads to good outcomes, such as less violence, more self-control, and greater levels of charity, among other pro-social outcomes.

The “I’m absolutely certain you were indoctrinated” woman has me annoyed. I really have to focus on giving grace to those who assume our stories. I wasn’t raised Christian, but I started attending a reformed Presbyterian Church in college solely because I felt the pull of the Holy Spirit guiding me there, completely outside of any friend or family members’ recommendations. I had a desire to be with God and at church before I had ever heard the words Gospel or Trinity, before I had ever read the Bible, etc. etc. I attended that denominations’ Bible studies, Church services, and even mission trips for a decade until I started converting to Catholicism. I will be confirmed in the Catholic Church at the end of next month. We don’t all just believe because we were taught to. God moves among us and within us, I’m convinced, even prior to Baptism, because I know He did for me. And I can’t wait to raise my future children Catholic, because I know God has been after me my entire life.

I feel like the belief in hell makes people more compassionate to others as well as God himself. Through fear of hell you learn to respect God and his ways of doing things. Through fear in hell people are lead to evangelize to lost souls and help them walk out of sin because they don’t want to see them suffer later. Obliviously there’s other motives to treat God and people with compassion, but I think the fear of God and hell is definitely a motivator.

The singing apostate reflects a massive problem in the church in that they completely misunderstand the use and application of the Law--they hear that "love God and love your neighbor is the whole law," and mistakenly divorce those two commands from their explanation, which is the entire moral law as explained in the OT (and further explained in the Sermon on the Mount). So, left with "love your neighbor" as the sole law with no definition, it's a short hop to "be nice no matter what," and from there to "you must affirm everyone." And that leads to this fellow, as well as to Andy Stanley.

The saddest thing about Abraham Piper is that he's in his mid-40s and still talking, rebelling, behaving, like a teenager. Even among super-nihilistic exvangelicals he's uniquely immature. It's also so surprising how tenuous his grasp on what Christians believe seems to be. You'd think he'd at the minimum be familiar with what his father teaches, but he doesn't even strawman us, he just doesn't really know much about the faith.

But I want to add that the things she says are indoctrinated into us are actually the things that Paul teaches are knowable from nature alone. Everything must be concretely proven to be accepted, even though the methods by which we concretely prove things all rely on fundamental assumptions and intuitions (axioms).

The arrogance of these people is just mind blowing and what they believe in just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. People will ask me if my beliefs ever get in the way of my ability to be an effective counselor. You would be surprised at how little my overt Christian beliefs have to do with counseling. I am paid mostly to listen and to be non- directive. Corinthians 13 4-8 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the true It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. I was brought up Roman Catholic. Did first and second communion and Sunday school. Briefly was subjected to a Pentecostal cult because of an older sister several years older than I looking for answers. I was 13 and around that time my father died. The love of my life at the time. The pastor basically outlined that my father was in a lake of fire where maggots and warms would crawl through every hole of his body and suffer immeasurable pain for eternity. I went down an absolute dark hole and tried to take my life because of it. As a child, I couldn’t understand why God who i was taught loved me beyond measure in my former church and in Sunday school, would take the only person in my life who showed me love and affection. I had absolutely no grief support just medicated, so within a year of his death I tried to take my own life at 14 and because mental health counselling is atrocious for children, I was just medicated over and over again with meds that cause suicidal ideation in children. I thought god had forsaken me, but it took till almost being 40 to realize he was there all 4 times I tried to end my life and that it was my family and society that let me down. The last attempt after having a seizure, I heard a voice that said “no more”. I took it that I would get no more chances. Stopped taking medication after that and made myself at 17 go through as much therapy as I possibly could to overcome such heavy grief that had made me feel a kind of darkness that I see now was downright evil. Evil very much can also exist in churches of any kind. I barely know the bible despite my upbringing and catholic schools because I barely remember my childhood, but I’ve never known Christianity quite like how you and others that I have been following as of late, preach. Been praying to the almighty to direct me to a good church, but I struggle with that fear in my heart from the trauma I still hold from childhood, but I trust in him to guide me and feel so utterly blessed that he never left my life but simply and patiently awaited my return to my faith 💕 thank you for your videos. Fear of having a meaning and purpose that supersedes family I feel that maybe his father did more preaching than raising him(my opinion). That’s why he may be so averse to the father as the LORD says He cleave families. But also loving your neighbor includes family too and God demand we attend to that duty. I kinda feel bad for him.
