Too bad your prognosis didn't go through, it's 2022 and World War 3 is what's going to kill most of us. I mean, as soon as the war in Ukraine started, where I'm from, everyone forgot about the coronavirus, and people suddenly stopped getting sick or dying from it. It's as if it's a miracle, right?) Just proves how the government and the world made a freaking huge deal out of a thing that most probably ended a year ago and most of us are already immune to it. 😉

I am from County Wicklow in Ireland. Where these guys are from .. I went to LIFE festival and one of my friends convinced me to go and see them play. I was honestly reluctant and I had a terrible attitude and said "who the fuck are they" .. I'll never forget the shiver I felt down my spine and the lesson in life that experience thought me. I love the band now 😂

GIAA really needs that 4th member. Saw them at a small club in November with just the Kinsella brothers and drummer, and a few years earlier with the synth-lead guitarist, and it's a whole other world. Backing tracks just can't replace the extra oomph a 4th guy brings.

I saw GIAA live for the first time in my life yesterday at the 02 Islington.. Hands down, one of the best live sounding bands ever. Their music is so raw and heavy, one of the few bands that can actually outmatch their recordings. Any fan should make it a must to at least watch them live once, it is an otherworldly experience.

GIAA are one of the bands from this era of the genre that still make me feel like I’m in my late teens when I listen to them. Incredibly nostalgic sound permeating through those early albums, especially. Not only cause I grew up with them, but I think it’s part of their essence.

God is an astronaut broke Robert smiths heart. lol me too rs me too, specially went you listen to the album on some lsd with a rad girl that you love and go explore the world in the eyes of a creator. I really love God is an astronaut, but i really feel like quite often the drummer isn't helping the songs, adding too much or sometimes playing too "complicated" grooves for like calm and slow parts... Like there are some parts where he fits quite well the music, but too many times in my opinion where he is almost destroying the overel feeling and ambiance of the song :/
@dauwerosseel95514 жыл бұрын
1000% true. Was thinking the same thing. I am a drummer myself and would Play not like he does.
@JeanMauriceB1C4RD4 жыл бұрын
You don't know what is a complicated beat, listen to Gavin Harrison, Marco Minnemann, Antonio Sanchez and many mores into progressive music or even in jazz. He fits the songs here, almost the same as on the album.

@@JeanMauriceB1C4RD i do know what it is, I’ve been playing drums constantly for the past 13 years and know all these drummer very well. That’s why I put the « », in that case complicated doesn’t mean prog or anything, it just mean it’s too much. Again it’s not on all the songs, it’s mostly the calm and slow passages that feel like it’s not being respected.
