If you're reading this please please please consider coaching from this amazing woman. Janae has educated me and helped me to grow my relationship with Christ, and to overall get my life in a healthier place so that I can be a happier and healthier human. I didn't know how to build healthy friendships and relationships or to stand firm in my boundaries before being coached by her. She truly allows you to open up at your own pace and will provide wise counsel and actual resources that will give you the assistance to help based on the coaching you request. You had me at everything until paying tithes. It never fails. I've tithed in every church I've been a part of religiously only for the leaders to misappropriate it. I've been out of work for 7 months and prior to that tithed 15%. To this day my church has done absolutely nothing to assist me. But my pastor is out promoting his new book. They didn't even refer me to the local unemployment office but constantly text me to tithe and they're well aware I'm without a job surviving on savings. It never fails. Whenever I need the church, it has abandoned me. I've tithed since I started working and whenever I faced hardship the church ghosted me. When my step mother's house burned down, she called her pastor to tell him about the news personally and he had the audacity to say he didn't know who she was. That woman was a member of his church for more than 6 years tithing as well. She was an active member of the church and told him sorry, I thought I knew you. I explained to my classmates about my issue (2 Asians, 1 Jewish and 1 mixed). The Jewish classmate said if tithing was implemented to help the black community don't you think the black community would be much further than where it is? I was pissed that she had the audacity to say that but after thinking about it, she was right. In Judaism they have tzedakah which is what tithing supposed to be, but christianity focuses solely on giving up a percentage of your earnings. The taxes I pay to the IRS and state are my tithes.

Well I am sorry for your experience. I too also experienced church hurt from church growing up. My mom was a single mother who paid tithes on low income with three kids for years and when it came to needing assistance when she had cancer she was turned away. I also couldn’t get help from my childhood church when my mom died after she has paid tithes for years to assist with funeral expenses. Of course that was disappointing and hurtful but that doesn’t dictate the way I view all churches or all things about tithing. I dont tithe because of the church, I tithe because of the word. 🙏🏽Also my belief in tithes is subjective due to everyone’s situation being different. This video is one hour long and there is too much substance in this video to just focus on the topic of “tithes”. One of the enemies tactics is to make us focus on a molehill and make it a mountain. This video is not about tithing its about marriage, and surely God is not going to hold back your husband because you are in a predicament of not being able to tithe or choose not to because of your personal circumstances and past experience.His grace and mercy is too sufficient for him to do that. He is not like man. ♥️I pray that the other 97% of this video was well received by you and that God removes the poor taste of that past experience from your mouth. You didn’t deserve that and neither does any other person. Tithing is not for the church, it a symbol of sacrifice for God, and unfortunately some of these churches have a system of greed and do not allocate the funds properly. We have to make sure the enemy doesn’t take the value of something bc of one small thing. That meaning this video has too much substance to focus on tithing. If tithing is not your belief then disregard it. I have been blessed so many seasons from tithing as a sacrifice to God. I tithed faithfully all year up until recently I had gotten laid off. You know what, I still give back to my community in different ways and God has sustained me supernaturally this entire season of not having a traditional job. God is my provider and he is yours. He will continue to sustain you. The churches you have experienced are not the way God intended things to be and I am sorry for your hurt and abandonment by the church. I will be keeping you in my prayers and I hope that out of this message you get what you need. If not the blessing about KZbin is that there are millions of other content creators and content on marriage. If this video or channel does not align with your beliefs and values, im sure there are other marriage based content creators that may suit your needs. Tithes or not, God still promises marriage and this video is about that. I pray that if you desire marriage that God opens up your season and pours out supernatural blessings on you and your family, and that your husband is being sent to be a head for you and to support you after everything you have endured. I pray that your heart is able to forgive those who hurt you and that those churches change their ways and doctrine from greed to Gods word. I pray your step mother is blessed ten fold and compensated by God for her sacrifices and blessed to be a blessing. I would say that the tithe, or the tenth, is not for the New Testament. It’s initial use was specifically for the Levite, the widow, the orphan and stranger (Deuteronomy 26:12). It was initially given as a social net for the needy and a means of support for the priests. In the New Testament the idea of the tithe no longer exists. All believers are priests (Revelation 1:6). And, anyone can be in need, therefore anyone in need would fit the requirement of receiving a part of the tithe if we think In Old Testament terms. The exhortation on giving in the New Testament that Paul talks about is a gathering of a one time donation of money in 2 Corinthians 8 and 9. He specifically is gathering for the needs of the saints in Jerusalem (2 Corinthians 9:12, Romans 15:25-26, 2 Corinthians 9:2). This need was predicted by Agabus In Acts 11:28. He does not at all tell the believers to give a tenth to church leaders but to those who are in need. So no, there is no tithe. Should we give to one another, according to what God has provided, not under compulsion, but willingly and with cheer (2 Corinthians 8:12, 2 Corinthians 9:7)? Yes. We should give to those among us who are in need, looking after one another (James 2:14-17).
