Then I had a dream and in the dream I couldn’t see, there was a white veil over my eyes and I had trouble breathing .Sometimes I feel hopeless and I keep asking Him to talk to me but I must be deaf too, because I can’t hear Him. And yes I have trouble being still long enough for Him to talk to me.

I think what we'e supposed to be learning is to put Faith over our Feelings! We are called to live by Faith in God's Word and not trust our own constantly changing feelings. God's Word provides stability and is a stronghold against the enemy's attacks on our faith and trust in the Lord.

Yes my heart has been convicting me because I deal with toxic family who chose to continue to take me back to my past which has brought out my anger towards them for not seeing my growth instead of making me feel ashamed for past offenses I asked God to remove the anger and today I feel so calm I feel some peace from my tormenters thank you Lord I need you more than air food clothes n mostly this temporary fix which is the lies of leaders in authority.

Nicole, your brothers and sisters through Jesus are here for you. Though it has been a while since you posted this, but I felt so drawn to reply and I pray that whatever you are, or were, going through has had resolution. Saying "now" implies and infers that something has occurred in your life that has added just that, whatever it is, last proverbial straw upon you. I know this won't bring much comfort and I do know your journey oh so well. And whatever it is, the enemy is using it against you hard because he is such a hater and liar. Why me, you may be asking yourself. Well firstly you are doing something so right as a child of God that the enemy is determined to make your life absolutely horrible. Why you? Why any of us Christians? Because we are all a HUGE threat to him in these last days. New International Version: Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Go to Ephesians 6:10-16 and put on the whole armor of God every single day out loud, so the enemy can hear you, when you get up in the mornings. Of the 6 pieces of the armor. Something very fantabulous about this armor is, first, there is only ONE weapon and it is the Sword of the Spirit which is simply Scripture...which is why it's important to say it out loud. Secondly, did you notice something odd? None of those other pieces of armor protects your back. And I bet you can guess why. :-) Because either angels or Jesus, or both, have your back. They are protecting you from any exposure to the enemy, my sweet sister through Jesus. And you are LOVED.

God is definitely speaking to me because I woke up in the middle of the night because I have like breathing issues and I remember I went on twitch and my tv froze and I saw the cross appear when it froze on the screen. Then I opened my Bible and I clicked on read and out of nowhere, it put me on the story of Ecclesiastes’s because I feel like my life is meaningless and that everything is boring. AMEN and thank you! You know I never really questioned myself as much as I question GOD. And I never thought about it that way. I know do years of my relationship with GOD and JESUS CHRIST that GOD does not mind questioning and talkin but when do we do it to ourselves. We get so caught up in the fact that were created in HIS image but we're not him. Sometimes you become full of yourself and you forget that. Not just in a selfish way or puffed up or pompous. This is very timely for me. I've been struggling with a lot of depression, regret/remorse, self-hatred, social isolation, anxiety, and loneliness. You see when I was in 9th grade I started talking to this one girl from my church. (We both grew up in the church but we never really talked to eachother) Let's call her Alyssa. (That's not actually her real name, but to protect her identity let's just call her Alyssa). I remember the day we met (more like officially started talking) like it was yesterday. It was October 25th 2015. I remember where I was, what I was doing, the sweater I was wearing. It was at a social event at one of our youth pastors house. All the boys went outside to go play football, but I stayed inside with all the girls since it was cold out and I was a wussy lol. I was just chilling on the couch by myself staring at the ceiling dreaming in my own la la land. Then she comes up and sits down right next to me and started a conversation with me. (She probably just thought I was lonely). I was totally caught off guard. We started talking about stuff, like our hobbies, school, likes/dislikes...etc. We were talking for about 15 maybe 20 minutes. I had small crushes on a couple other girls at school, but there was something different about Alyssa. I never felt this way about any other girl (or even her before we started talking). I loved her personality (chatty, nice, hotheaded/tough). For the next 9 months we got to know eachother more on a friendship level, and I had a huge crush on her. I really liked her. She was beautiful and I loved her personality. I asked her to go tubing with me on a youth trip to Springhill and she said yes. She also made me a red and white bracelet at another church youth event (she knew I was a red wings fan). We were not dating but I legitimately thought she was the one and that someday we would be married. I let my emotions take me over. I was 15 and I had no idea how this dating stuff worked. Alyssa was the very first girl I genuinely liked. Unfortunately, things went to hell after that. I wanted her to like me and I was too stupid to see that I was already doing all the right things. (Just being myself). I let fear and worry take me over and I started making a lot of stupid mistakes like acting all desperate and clingy, and being nervous around her. (Not just one time, but several over the course of about 3 months. The summer of 2016 to be exact). This made her not want to speak to me again. She avoided me after that. This led me to becoming really depressed and angry at myself. I also started fighting with my lifegroup friends at church. We were fighting over a lot of dumb and immature stuff. I was taking out my anger and frustrations on them. I then decided to leave the church. It felt like everything I loved had turned against me. Alyssa didn't like me at all, not even as a friend, and my own friends turned on me, my own brothers (metaphorically). For the next two and a half years I didn't pray or read the Bible. I was miserable, depressed, lonely and isolated. I felt cast out. I was angry at God for letting me get into this situation. I thought God hated me and betrayed me. Deep down I still believed in him but I was not following his Word or obeying him. Eventually, things got so bad for me that I tried to kill myself by slitting my wrists in March of 2019. I still have the scars on my arms. All of my problems were caused by me and me alone....out of my own stupidity and immaturity. I had no one else to blame. I was so lonely, sad, ashamed, guilty, depressed, and isolated. I then finally realized that everything went downhill for me because I was not obeying God and listening to him. I tried to do things my own way and it was a disaster. I finally turned back to God and asked him for forgiveness and that I was going to follow him from now on. I started to pray and read scripture daily. I decided to return to the church to make up with my old friends and try talking to Alyssa again. I was a lot more mature this time and in a better physical shape too. I was able to restore my friendships with my lifegroup friends. I did try to talk to Alyssa again. It actually went pretty good since it was 3 years since we last saw each other. I began to believe maybe she is the one all along but due to my stupid mistakes, God then had to find an alternative route for me. Just like Joel Osteen said (paraphrasing): God is like a gps. When we make stupid mistakes and poor decisions....etc, God simply just recalculates the route to our destiny. It may take longer now because of our mistakes but don't worry God will still get you to your destiny. Me and Alyssa got along well again and she gave me her snapchat. We started talking again in December 2019. I also found out from a mutual friend of ours that she just broke up with her boyfriend. I asked her out on a date in person for Valentines Day this year and she actually said yes. She sounded very enthusiastic too. She was not stuttering or making long pauses. (She's very chatty so it is not hard to keep a conversation flowing with her). After that she ghosted me and blocked me on snapchat and I have not heard from her since. I did not say anything rude or inappropriate and I was not even talking to her much on snapchat. I only started a couple conversations with her by replying to her story. I guess she did that because I showed romantic interest. I've been really confused, depressed and heartbroken (again). I don't why God even bothered to bring Alyssa into my life in the first place all those years ago. I never asked her to come up to me that day. I never cared for her up until that point. This girl caused me so much pain over the last few years and I don't know how to handle it. I won't be able to just simply avoid her either because she is from my church and I have not met another girl that could overtake my feelings for Alyssa. I'm having a real hard time letting go. I constantly wonder why God allowed this to happen to me. I missed a lot of fun times and events at church because of the pain. I left because I knew she did not want to see me. Church feels painful to go to for me, since it is always associated with her. I also grew up in that church my whole life. I can't just simply leave and find another church. Not a day goes by where I don't remember the good times with her in 9th grade and the stupid mistakes I made. i wish I could go back in time and fix it all. I wish I wasn't so foolish, immature, and stupid. I wish I knew then what I know now. I wish I could have changed what happened. I wish I never met her. I wish that she never came up to me that day. it is far better to not love someone at all, then to love someone you know you can"t be with. And it is because I love her that I wish I never met her. Just thinking of her brings me pain. I wish God would just wipe this girls existence from my memory. I constantly wonder why God even bothered to bring her into my life at all if she was not the one.

ChiefOnALeaf I know that feeling of being heartbroken but God healed me when I turned to Him and started writing scriptures that touched me as I read the Bible. He will help you. Cry out to Him like never before. His word is true He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds. It may take time but He will do it don’t give up stay praying.

ChiefOnALeaf You need to look at your experience as a lesson. What did you learn? What did you feel when you were with her? Those feelings will come again and when it does, you will know what to do. Thank God for bringing her into your life. Thank God for the experience. Thank God for bringing someone into your life someone who will love you for who you are and appreciate you because eventually someone will. Be confident, you are an amazing person. God closed that door for you, but he also opened one. Once you know your self-worth, the right person will come in and compliment you and your life. Hang in there. God is always there for you. Sometimes God takes away things that we want only because he has something better. Pray to God by being grateful for the things that you have and thank him for what you want to come into existence. He will never let you down.

Listening to this made me reflect. And heavy with tears in my eyes,And lately i been getting confirmation after confirmation. This plague that we have going on opened my eyes. I am baptized but i am backslided time after time. I am not going too act holy than tho. I made mistakes that I am not proud of. I am a sinner and i admit that. I was fornicating, i was cursing, i told lies, i had sexual addictions. And more. When i saw that the world was under lock down. It opened my eyes. And i remember his word. Those things I was doing i will not inherit The Kingdom of God. I repented and ask the Lord for forgiveness. I been crying out to God lately asking The Lord to speak to me, as well asking God why am i not hearing from you. BUT NOW I KNOW GOD WAS LISTENING , TO ME AND SPEAKING TO ME THIS WHOLE TIME BY ME SPENDING TIME IN THE WORD. AND THE DEVOTIONALS I BEEN LISTIENING TO CONFIRMING WHAT I BEEN SPEAKING TO THE LORD ABOUT. BEING A MOTIVATION FOR SOMEONE ELSE. I AM NO LONGER SITTING DOWN PLAYING CHURCH I SURRENDER ALL TO YOU JESUS. I NEED YOU JESUS MORE THAN EVER. I AM CRYING OUT TO YOU JESUS.
