I can recommend the book “Prison to Praise” by Merlin Carothers, about God intervening in the most difficult circumstances, when people have prayed and nothing seems to happen - and then God shows them that Praise and Thanksgiving releases His presence into their situation. In my own life this has been such an encouragement over the years in tough times. God inhabits the praises of His people, Psalm 22:3 (KJV). I've come to notice that the "titles" on this guy's videos seem to "always" be -- misleading. Instead of staying on subject and delivering "what" he led the audience to believe he has, he spends "all" his time on -- preaching, which is NOT what he advertised. He spent all of -- what?? -- 1 minute, maybe, talking about JFK, Jr.?? This is -- very -- misleading and NOT a good look as a Christian. Deceiving people into believing that you have or offering something that you DON'T, is not only false advertising, but very "deceptive" and a bad look on the BOC.

I was in conversation with a person from Berachah church in Illinois. Suddenly they stopped talking to me. All because i mentioned that Holy Spirit spoke to me. After reading through the statement of beliefs of the church they expel people who speak in tongues or pray to heal a person. How crazy sad!!

Raised staunch Republican and am one myself. I'm struggling with Trump, not for the reasons you think. I'm struggling because I see so many people worshipping him as if he is the great white hope. To the point that they hold Trump in higher esteem than Jesus Christ. I can't do that. I love Jesus Christ with every fiber of my being. I'll vote for him but with great cynicism. Brother, the Holy Spirit is all over you. When I preached I used to try to defend myself and the annointing that God had placed on me, but God told me "enough!". He said just yield to me and say what I give you, and the Spirit will bear witness." I had an inferiority complex in the old man, which keeps me humble, but be bold in the Spirit! Thanks for being obedient and doing your part in the body of Christ.

About the gifts of the Spirit, 1 Corinthians 12, verses 1-31...we must remember especially verse 30, but the whole chapter sheds so much light on spiritual gifts, not all do the same things...Hod does not give every gift to every person...some churches and pastors teach that if you dont have this gift or that gift that you're not filled with the Holy Spirit...not so! And so vey wrong to nske someone feel less of a person over this...We ALL have differing or diverse gifts, given by God. Great message Troy...😊

It's amazing how God works, even in our desire to follow him and be the vessel of his glory. We are all called to be light of Christ, shining in the darkness. Though, just in surrendering to God's will he does an amazing work in us. A few weeks ago I heard God say, "I'm going to light you up." I think he is starting to move in his church in amazing ways. I love that more truth is being revealed.

Tongues was originally a gift given to the apostles to speak to people of other languages so that they could understand what the apostles were saying. 1 Corinthians 12, 14:6 and Acts 2:6-12 speaks of this and also of who will speak in tongues and Paul says that some will be given the gift of speaking in tongues, just as some will be given the gift of prophecy, healing, interpretation etc. I, for one, have not been able to speak in tongues the way that some ministers insist that we should and it feels false when I force myself to try to do it. When Paul states that “some” will receive the gift of speaking in tongue’s, that does not say all, he says “ some”. The pressure put on those who have difficulty in this area doesn’t seem right, it makes one feel like they fall short. It would be like insisting that all have the gift of healing or discernment when they do not feel that gift in themselves.
