▸ "The Button" is a 2017 comic book crossover created and published by DC Comics. The story arc consists of four issues from DC's Batman and Flash publications, functioning in part as a larger buildup towards the "Doomsday Clock" event. The plot was written by Joshua Williamson and Tom King, with art by Jason Fabok and Howard Porter.
In the story, Batman and Flash work together to uncover the truth behind the mysterious button found in the Batcave. As the investigation unfolds, the secrets of the Button bring about the wrath of Professor Zoom as well as the unknown orchestrator of DC Rebirth.

24:50 The Psycho-Pirate is a truly underrated villain. Despite his ridiculous disguise, bro can manipulate the emotions of those around him, making him extremely dangerous. In fact, the guy could literaly make Batgirl and Supergirl bang each other instead of trying to stop him. No wonder the Anti-Monitor used him as a primary weapon during the first Crisis.

To be honest, I really LOVED "Before Watchmen". Said project did not deserved at all the hatred of the fans, especially if we take into account the marvelous creative team behind it, with great authors such as Darwyn Cooke, Len Wein or J. Michael Straczynsky in charge of writing the stories and prestigious artists such as Lee Bermejo, Amanda Conner and Jae Lee behind the art. Although the Comedian and Rorschach miniseries aren't pretty memorable, their art is sublime. Silk Spectre, Nite Owl and Ozymandias' miniseries explore the psychology of the characters pretty well and even make them more round. The Dollar Bill and Moloch specials are actually quite emotional and depressing to read. Finally, both "Minutemen" and "Doctor Manhattan" are masterpieces that have little to envy Alan Moore's graphic novel.

Speaking of Doctor Manhattan, I absolutely recommend his "Before Watchmen" miniseries written by Michael J. Straczynsky. The author not only fully respected the character created by Alan Moore, but also explored his obsession with unraveling the mystery of time and the nature of what is hidden inside each thing. Trust me, it's really good, to the point of being almost on the same level as Moore's masterpiece

I might be alone in saying this but I hate Doctor Manhattan and I don't think he's a well-written character. There's too many excuses to make up for his ignorance, extreme arrogance, and stupidity in spite of the fact that he's basically God. It goes back to him being an ill-conceived character that's too powerful to have in a story, anyway. Just my opinion.

But on the other face of the coin, you could say "why didn't they do this during this event" or "where were they during x fight?" So on and so forth. It's plot at the end of the day and the characters are only as powerful as the writers make them

I know that Batman Fear State and Batman Future State happen after Joker War, but I do not know if they are before like Failsafe, or Dark Crisis, or anything else.
