True, one would have thought that a Cessationist would have taken the words, “greater things,” applied John 14:12-14 to the song, and try to stab it to death.

Very reassuring. God is still at work. Be it the city you live in or even your life since you are a city set upon a hill that cannot be hidden. Wherever we find ourselves, God is always working together for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. His thoughts for us are for good and not for evil and indeed he has an expected end for his children - there is a hope in our future outcome. Great song about a great God!

I am currently a youth leader at my church, I'm new to the leadership. But I've lead in worship before. I was looking for an old song we sang a few years ago. And I came across this on an old youtube account I had forgotten about. The part that's hitting me right now is our youth group has died, from 70-80 people a night to around 20 on a good night. I've been losing hope for bringing back the youth group I grew up in. After I had a dispute with the youth pastor I haven't been able to go back, and he said well talk in January for me to officially get the leader title. I lost hope after my anger had told me that my old group is gone. Now I realize that there is still much more to do. Greater things have yet to be done in this city. And I'm going to try my absolute hardest to fix orlando

Shelby McNew God hasn't forgotten you; you are so loved and valuable to Him. It's never too late to run into His arms. I walked away from God for many, many years but He found me and captured my heart; I'll never be the same, Jesus Christ saved my life. The ruler of this world will do everything he can to cause us to turn our backs on God, to believe that He doesn't care or that He doesn't exist, but Truth is that He is the very One who cares for you the most. Jesus didn't die so we can remain estranged from God, He gave very His life as the ultimate selfless act of love and redemption; so that we can be in close relationship with the One True God, our Maker and spend eternity with Him, having repented of our sins and being washed clean. There is always Hope, there are always open arms waiting for you to come Home❤️

Gabrielle C I've always reached for God. I spent so much time praying and reaching out and begging someone to take my hand so I wouldn't be alone anymore... and no one did. Eventually, I decided it was better to stop hoping or believing there was anyone out there than to exhaust myself and break mt heart trying to reach someone that never answered.
@gabriellec88327 жыл бұрын
Shelby McNew I've felt this way before, many times...I know it's not easy.. but don't give up. He is there and He does hear you. I promise that. Jesus Christ made a way for us to directly communicate with God when we believe in His sacrifice on the cross: that's the good news! God is now ever accessible through His son, our Savior and comfort. Psalm 147:3 "He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds." He understands how hard it is to see Him in this dark world but He is there. Keep reaching out. Keep moving towards Him. He will meet you. I'll be praying and I'm here if you want to talk further (Instagram @thefallensparrow/thefallensparrow@outlook.com)

Im reaching for you. The reason you still listen to songs like this is cuz theres still hope in you. I dont know whats happend but i know i was hurting on drugs and homeless and he carried me through all of it. Im not saying i dont still go through things but the peace hes put inme is beautiful. When you think youre alone your not. Everytime you cry he is catching your tears and putiing them in your bottle. He hurts when we hurt. Do me a favor dont give up on him yet i pray he showz up in such a big way you cant deny where it came from. And that all the pain and hurt slowly turn to smiles and joy. Im here if you need a friend. Lord bless

James 2:14-17 Faith and Deeds 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

I would like to reply to Robert Oliver. I can tell you are searching. You have questions. I am glad this song has blessed you. We Christians here in America have no clue what persecution is....but it is coming to our land, as it has to those countries you have mentioned: Sudan, Pakistan, Somalia, China, North Korea, et al. It is difficult to acknowledge that there is true evil in this world, but we do see it on a daily basis. And people ask: "How can a loving God allow such horrible things to happen in the world, especially to innocent people?" Well, sin is now rampant in this world and Satan is wreaking havoc upon this earth. Our only hope is in God, and His Son, Jesus Christ, who came into the world to save us sinners. And we are all sinners....even Christians....yes, we are also sinners, but we have acknowledged our sins and accepted Christ's sacrifice on the cross. We are not perfect; we will never be perfect until we reach heaven. But we are forgiven and are allowing God to work in our lives to make this world a better place. We are trying to reach the millions of 'lost' Indians and others throughout the world. That is why Jesus said shortly before he ascended into heaven: "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Yes, you are absolutely right, Robert. We need to be more concerned with others and not have a selfish focus on just ourselves and our loved ones. Our faith needs to manifest itself into helping others, being more sympathetic to the suffering millions in our world. Thank you, Robert, for helping us to 'wake up'. I fear that we Christians here in America are so blessed, so comfortable, that we are complacent. Shame on us. May God prick our conscience and help us to see where we can help others in our suffering world.
