I think they did this because people were just generally more familiar with calling him Hercules instead of Heracles, and the Disney film probably perpetuated that. The same thing with them making Pandora's Box a box instead of a jar/pithos.

Hercules has it completely backwards. 1 - why is he hanging out with Hera? She's his nemesis. 2 - Zeus picked him to become a god (of what - idk) after he died. 3 - Athena chose Kratos to kill Ares AND made him a god. Zeus had little to do with it. 4 and most importantly - the Nemian Lion's skin was impenetrable...and he's only wearing Shoulder-Pads and a helmet? Oh yeah, that'll definitely protect the 30% of his body from all the harm Kratos will do upon it.

Nice walkthrough, I'm enjoying it.. The only problem is there's no way Kratos would win, Herc is too much man. He's wiser than Kratos, much stronger and certainly much smarter/craftier. Not to mention the fact that Hercules and Hera hated each other, he'd never do her bidding, nor was he jealous and petty. Ah well, the re-writing of Greek mythos for a game continues.

ok, I could forgive the other inaccuracies of the kratos story as it relates to greek mythology, but on this one I MUST call BS. the last person Hercules would come to the defense of is Hera. Hercules' original name is Heracles, which was given him in the hopes of appeasing Hera's jealous wrath at the thought of another bastard son of Zeus. it didnt succeed. Hercules had to endure a lifetime of hardship and grief, most of it because of Hera. WTF would he help her now?

Hercules is one of the easier bosses in the game, but the guy playing this is obviously not playing for the first time. All boss battles are about patterns and timing, and the first time you meet a boss, will of course be a lot harder.
