it really is, i just played it back again and the first one is up for debate as the best game of the century, especially when you’ve experienced all the past games story and criticism. Narrative wise, the script and combat is stellar. They even brought back the blades and made it work with the new engine. Athena cameo, Zeus Cameo. Like it was literally 10/10

@@Slumpskie no way bro, rdr2 has the edge on being the better game as a whole. Narrative wise, i haven’t see a plot like the GOW reboots in a really really long time. Maybe the first infamous or the first last of us but that’s it bro. There are way too many plot devices interconnecting in this to put anything above it. Baldur comes knocking, we are tricked into thinking it’s because the norse have found kratos, later we discover they had no idea about him, odin was looking for jotunheim, yet the only reason baldur ever went on this expedition is revealed to be because he’s been lead to believe that the cure for his ailment lies within jotunheim, or whoever he is sent to find. So it’s just layers and layers of plot and character building, plus that was just 1 plot device! just 1!! there’s like dozen or so moments just as deep as that one.

I always wanted to know or ask Corey Barlog about what language Kratos and Atreus spoke to each other. If they’re speaking Greek to each other, or they’re speaking Old Norse to each other. Kratos, being a Greek man, would speak Greek as his first language, but did he teach Atreus any Greek and they spoke in Greek to each other or Old Norse/Icelandic? Since Atreus is half Greek, you’d think he would want to know and speak his paternal language as well as his maternal language. It would be pretty dope if Corey ever confirmed this! I’m aware that Kratos is bilingual as stated in game, but it would be like a family thing if Kratos and Atreus spoke Greek to each other, or maybe they’re speaking old Norse to each other.
