I agree with a lot that you say, but I feel that Odin was more calculative now since the end time was right there and he had to make clear- and thought-out decisions. But when it came down to it, the way he treated Thor and Sif and Freya and what he did to Brok etc. It pissed me off ngl. Moments like when Mimir got angry at Atreus saying he did do something, look at Freya - who lost her wings, will to fight, her loyal warriors, her people, her homeland, her brother - at Mimir, tortured him, caused him to trick the innocent dwarves, made him carry sins, locked his beloved, trapped in a tree for 109 Years, his freedom came at the prize of his body - at, Tyr being imprisoned, transported, taken advantage of, ruining his image. It just kept showing but also his cleverness was always at front. Menu, I agree with you, too long, side quests were made purposefully to make the game last out but people don't take into account the actual pacing of the game and want to end it quickly. Problems are no ng+ and rewards for GMGOW yet.

Great post! We definitely saw Odin's choices affect so many characters as you laid out with Freya, Mimir, Brok, etc. I just felt a lot of it was verbalized and seen after the fact. Would have loved to play as Thor, Freya, or Mimir in the past and seeing Odin's terror in the moment. I think with the first three God of War games, all of the gods actions directly affected Kratos and it was a story about Vengeance. With this, Odin never really affected Kratos, he affected those around Kratos. I wanted to hate Odin, and I was more neutral about him. When Brok was killed by Odin, it was devastating, but I also thought, "Well, you killed Heimdall...what did you expect?" This game was 2x longer than the 2018 game I believe, maybe even longer. Maybe if they made it into a trilogy it would have been more concise, unsure.

@@JoshSaleh1 yup I get what you mean. It was kind of like a last-minute decision to make it two parts. It would be good to get a comic where we see the horrors of Odin or something like a DLC but then again Kratos was just a broken guy aimlessly wandering at that point. Odin's tyranny was more aimed at Faye the same way Zeus' was faced at Kratos. Kratos wasn't meant to be in their universe anyways, but he came. Faye is quite a lot like Kratos, but her revenge was attained through Kratos and Atreus that united all realms together against them whereas Kratos fought Olympus alone. These are two chapter in his story. Both had Tragedy. One was with Vengeance and this one was to make a better decision, to overwrite his previous mistakes. This was his redemption and Faye's revenge. But I hear you. It would have just been difficult to implement. You know what I mean. 😂😂😂

Never blame yourself for game difficulty, if the game is too hard blame the developers!😤
