A few more things: 1. In GoW 1, you can cancel Hermes' Fury (the r1,r1,r1 combo) only by jumping; 2. In GoW 2, you can cancel the run animation of the Hyperion Charge, but again only with a jump; 3. In all three GoW games, if you press X during certain ground grabs launching your enemy (e.g Wraiths, High Priests), you can follow with a super jump, so you can attack them in the air. The same applies to the Spear in GoW 2: if you press X during the launcher animation, you'll follow the launched enemy with a super jump.

Just one or two observations to share for GoW 3: 1. You can buffer RoS activation during the BoE magic attack's animation. Will try it with Nemean Roar too. Basically, right after the magic animation has stopped, you will enter RoS; 2. You can also buffer weapon switching during a grab. Not sure if it really counts as buffering, though, but I will make sure to try it out with the L1+X variant. Would be surprised if it works.
@zapan8748 Жыл бұрын
A few corrections and another observation: 1. Yes, you can also buffer RoS during a Nemean Roar; 2. No, you can't buffer the L1+X weapon switching variant during a grab, and afaik not during any other animation either. A pity, it would have been cool; 3. You can also use RoS to cancel the Boots of Hermes animation.

GOW2's Orion Harpoon (Hold O) was so great that it's a move which helps Titan (Very Hard) runs easier in a specific encounter. Amazing vídeo, GOW has so many deep systens beyond Just styling (even thou i find the grabs to be way too broken for their own good) but frankly i would'nt diss the other Guide as much as you did zesty, you can see that the combat system is for using your tools smartly tô solve the combat puzzles the game throws at you rather than Going combomad on them, but is possible to play stylishly on GOW games and that can be appealing too (This is mostly on me trying to convince my DMC friends to give another chance to the GOW games) and the other vídeo IS my Go To show them This stylish side of the GOW series... P.S is funny How other Character Action Games your Character have taunts for several reasons, and in GOW Kratos doesnt taunt but the enemies do so you can take advantage of it
@ExtremeGameplays1 Жыл бұрын
There can always be a style to be implemented while playing. Have you watched xristos zimnas gow1 no damage V2 playlist? The man plays so elegantly without taking a single hit, but that should only come when you know the depths of the combat. Or rather that's when it's at its BEST. Top level god of war play can be considered stylish with the amount of elegance on display (when done right), but there is also background knowledge about ever little input.

You can launch Tormentors in God of War 1. The trick is that there is only one launcher with the blades against them that works and it's the least used one by most people: the roll + X move (whatever it's called). To launch them all you have to do is attack once or twice with square, confirm that they are getting hit stunned then roll towards them and press X. There you go, guaranteed launcher.
@ExtremeGameplays1 Жыл бұрын

@deathtoraiden2080 Жыл бұрын
@@ExtremeGameplays1 Heavy attack does not work on them though.
@ExtremeGameplays1 Жыл бұрын
@@deathtoraiden2080 It does. The second hit of your heavy attack has the 'bounce' attribute to it. It bounces them up to the air. It's the same with the L1+X attack of the blades but IN THE AIR. The big swipe Kratos does after the slashes has the 'bounce' effect on enemies and it can launch Tormentors. There is one more bounce, and it's done using the the Blade of Artemis. Just go square square circle and you'll see how it works.

About option select, GoW 1 actually allows you to cancel your grab with X, so maybe it's four options instead of three? It's a pity, though, that you can't cancel your grab without jumping. Maybe there are other ways, both in 1 and in its main sequels, to cancel grabs? I will test this as soon as I can. Would be an interesting discovery.

God of war is in the same genre as devil may cry but it has a completely different philosophy from DMC when it comes to combat. DMC is more about style and pushing the tech to it's absolute limit. In God of war you have to play optimally, multi task and pay attention to every enemy in the arena.
