For whatever reason they left it, the first and third groups stayed in the white-white sea in at least 2 different sky islands, the second one continued going down to the blue sea (only to be shot back up many years later)

In English subtitle, Eneru said just "I am God" but there, he pronounced "Ware ha KAMI-NARI." This is actually double meaning, not only "I am god' but he says that He was thunder. "-Nari" is a kinda old style of Be -verbs in Japanese(We usually say desu for be verbs). but by combining Kami(god in Japanese) and Nari (be-verb). Seeing Eneru's long ears reminds me of one of the tribes in Indonesia 🇮🇩, my country. The tribe is called the Dayak tribe where the Long Ears are an ancestral tradition and practice among the indigenous Dayak people in Kalimantan. A few other commenters seem to have offered explanations about Eneru's design, but I have a few more. The drums you see attached to his back are inspired by traditional depictions of Raijin, the Japanese god of lightning, thunder and storms. Raijin was believed to play those taiko drums to make the sound of thunder. You mentioned his long ears as well -- those are also a common feature of Japanese deities. Eneru is indeed planning a journey, and where he wants to go will be revealed very soon. As for who fixed the Going Merry -- you're very right to ask who was unaccounted for that night. That's a hint. Still, I'm pretty certain the answer will come as a complete surprise. It sure did for me. Things are really going to heat up in this arc. Enjoy!
