Man I am at the bottom of the bottom. I’ve been in the spiritual desert for almost 10 years, still waiting on God but still trusting in his promises. Part of me hates everything I’ve been through and done and who I am, part of me wants to give up. but Gods promises trump however I feel. I know this year will be a turnaround year. It says “he will lift you up” and “blessed are the poor in spirit” man am I poor in spirit and man is it time to get out of this horrible nightmare of a decade and I’m ready to jump into a year of the favor of the Lord. Thank you God for keeping me alive through fentanyl and drug addiction, even though I consider myself currently the scorn of fools, I won’t be for much longer. Greater is HE that is in me! Praise God

I was so stuck in sin I was addicted to coke and drinking and smoking and porn but I cried out and seeked The Lord with all my heart and He straight up delivered me and came through! I'm clean now and porn free!!!God is so good and merciful! I thought I would never get over those things! But Jesus came through! Trust Him! He Loves us so much!

Man this has become my go to channel. Gonna start listening to Brandon’s channel too. The topic of exploring the talents/gifts/passions God has given you to pursue a different lane/job is very interesting. Every believer definitely needs to leave space for that and be obedient if God says to move. However at the same time, the source of people’s job related burnout and feeling of lack of purpose also has to be addressed. Often times, we as Christians romanticize God’s purpose for our lives and think that the highest form of devotion is to go into ministry or carve a path out in the arts or other realms. Or just feel like God must have something different for you. But we need Jesus followers in every sector of society. You can have a job, that makes you enough money to pay bills/support your family, yet still believe in the profound yet simple truth that your greatest purpose is to love God and love your neighbor. I think that that shift in perspective and the understanding of your identity in Christ brings forth a passion in the every day life, including your boring or back breaking job. Every place is an avenue to display God’s love and be an imitator of Jesus. I think there’s a good chunk of believers that if they held onto these truths, their lived experiences at work would begin to change.

I found your discussion of telling people to just start going to church and the results of doing so. All Christians can be broken down into people who have a "conversion experience" and those who simply grow into the faith. A large number of Christians are born into a Christian household, grow up in the church, and never leave. This is especially the case where religion and ethnicity are closely coupled, think Christians in the Middle East. If you path to faith was sort of boring, that is a blessing.
