Blessings and I do understand what you are saying and agree to a certain point. however the true Leader is Christ Himself, and my job is to point them to Him, which we have failed to do so in the 20, and 21st century I believe.

Joseph was sold at the age of 17 and he got out of prison at the age of 30. There was a whole lot of things that happened between that time frame. Plus, we don't know how long Joseph was in prison prior to the cupbearer coming So...it's hard to say.

You asked a question about, if we would or would not give the coat back that Joseph had. I looked at from a child's position because that's what Joseph was. So no not at THAT age and GETTING all the favoritism he (Joseph) was getting. But as an older person I probably would give it BACK BECAUSE I would understand WHY I was getting the hurtful things being done to me. So there could be 2 answers to that question. ANOTHER GOOD and BEAUTIFUL lesson that makes us look at ourselves, which is how you teaches. I thank you for the information you give us. I thank GOD for the time you take to bring it to us. Although sometimes I'm slow to get to it. Again THANK YOU and blessings to you and the rest of the family. In Jesus name I pray

Well, well good Saturday morning, and Blessings To You Elder Jones!!! Thank you for teaching another EXCELLENT LESSON!!! This lesson really touched on an issue (very hurtful to “Granny”) that keeps coming up in my life. I had just asked the Lord, to help me to remember the good that I have done over the years, and help me not hold grudges and be hurt when I see how I am being forgotten and rejected!!! Thank you for bringing that point out about how GOD helped Joseph forgive, and forget... we must guard our hearts, and choose to obey God, regardless of what happens to us... Sometimes family, and “church family” hurt is very painful because you expect more from them, you expect the heathen to act like a heathen... I Thank God for that reminder and nugget 〰️💡〰️ it was for me 🥰... Please pray for me as I make that choice to continue to forgive, and forget... Amen 👋🏽 Thumbs up 👍🏼 ... ✨🕊✨

Blessings to you and thank you for you honesty and opened heart. Forgiveness is of the will, one must want and choose to forgive. God has empowered us to forgive, and even forget if we choose to. I know first hand about both church and family hurt, I understand Joseph lesson very well and could teach it from pure experience on how God through forgiveness brought me out. Getting teary eyed. Bless His Holy Name

Pastor, Joseph had to have been in jail more than 2 years. First the cupbearer said he had been in prison with Joseph 2 years ago from when he got out. There had to have been a period of time He was in prison before he interpreted the cupbearer and baker dream. Genesis 39: 20-23. Joseph proved himself trustworthy enough for the jailer to entrust him and make him responsible for everything that was done in the jail. That kind of trust would have taken some time or develop then more time elapsed for Joseph to get the jail running smoothly. How long? I don’t know and scripture doesn’t say, but it appeared that he had this job a little while before he met the King’s two men.

God knows all things and He allow the famine to come so whatever that we have to faced in life; He always has a ram in the bush for us if we put our trust in Him. This episode of Joseph with the problems/ troubles and ending up in a strange land. Joseph still hold on to his faith and his obedience to God; he exercised the wisdom of God in his life to help him interpreted dreams. So we see the end results of how God will supply all our needs.

Yaaaaaaaaaaas!!! You are soooo right, we can really learn from Joseph. We have what he didnt, the bible, his own story to read and see, Joseph only had his experience with the Lord.

Hello Rodney. Excellent Lesson. I think a particular subject in verse 27 is really interesting. If you look take your concordance and look up "east winds” Hebrew 6921 "qadiym", it will show you all throughout scripture where plagues or famine commonly come from. In this instance of this passage, Dry winds from the Sahara (south) or the Arabian (east) desert blow counter to the normal winds and have disastrous effects on agriculture. Normally moisture is brought in from the Mediterranean by north western winds in Egypt and Israel. These "east winds" are dry and are usually dust clouds from the Saharan desert and greatly affect agriculture and health of people and farm animals. This creates serious problems for an agriculture community with crops and animals. Note: Just back in June the US southern states and gulf coast was hit with the same type of east wind from the Sahara, causing air quality issues. Both COVID-19 and the Saharan dust cloud can cause overlapping respiratory symptoms, including: Dry cough. Wheezing. Shortness of breath. Makes you think. I love little nuggets of truth that scripture gives that relates to today.
