Yes but Your perception is of self-righteousness. I grew up with a narcissistic mother who never loved me unconditionally. It's a result of child hood PTSD you say it like it's so easy. It takes a lot of therapy and faith in god... Empathy and compassion is what we need not self righteous statements Accusing me up, not having enough faith in God. It's the last thing that we need.

This is incredible!!! My counselor led me towards the conclusion that almost every area of my life has given me a reason to be codependent. It has been difficult. THIS HAD ME CRYING and thinking about all the areas I have come into agreement with the enemy that “people are more powerful than God.” I repented and now I am stepping forward with what you said. Going to point out scripture about God’s Power. No more manipulation or fear!

Dear Julia - I am so sorry for all you have been through. The codependency coping mechanism is chosen out of necessity out of trama we have experienced. Can I just tell you - you are about to enter into one of the most beautiful times in your life - recovery will be a epic battle at times but you will grow so very close to God. I am here to answer questions as best as I am able - to pray for you and just love and support. For years I did not know that I was operating out of codependency - it flew right under the radar of "good works" and helping people - all the time I thought I was following God. But now I know a better way and you will too. Take God's hand - keep being courageous and just listen and lean in - LOVE YOU!

Great video. When I started realizing about God's power in my life and also my God's given power as a believer (because Jesus lives in me) I started seeing codependency as something that I can easily overcome. Also I got a revelation from God with the same conclusion as yours: that codependency is a sin (and Jesus has overcome all sin so we can overcome codependency just as any other sin through him!). Codependent behavior has its roots in fear. And the Bible teaches that everything that is not done in faith is a sin. I have really been imapcted by the verse "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts" (Colossians 3:15) in the sense that I should act based on the feeling of peace (and what produces peace? Faith) not according to the feelings of fear, shame or guilt. Now I see codependency as something that does not have power over me but as something I, thanks to Jesus, have power over. Just wanted to share!

I just found your channel….Thank you so much for this video! I was traumatized by my parents all through my childhood and into my adulthood and didn’t realize how codependent I was to my husband and after 2 traumatic family events I got even more codependent. My husband just filed for divorce last week. I followed God when I was young and fell away from him for about 12 years….Only praying sometimes. I am now going to church again and realizing how much I have needed God in my life. I didn’t realize how I thought my parents and then my husband were more powerful than God. This helps me change! I wish I would’ve known to look on YT for these videos sooner but now is better than never.

This might be my life lesson that Jesus gave me when I was born…. To love him more than people in my life who I give my power away to …. because of my personality it’s my nature to be giving but I have to really really check myself and make sure that I’m giving to God first and then if I have any leftovers…. Maybe I can give it to others. and there’s no doubt about it :that’s my lesson here in earth school . Thank you for the necessary reminder . I need them everyday 👍🏻😏❤️🙏🏻✨

I think I just had an a ha moment.. as a child I had a double trauma.. as well as sort of abandonment from my parents because my grandparents raised me. But as you were just talking about the lie that people are more powerful than God made me think back to the dream i had about Jesus as a child.. gave me a great big hug,and said everything will be ok my child.. i just was too young at the time to discern that message. I think that is what he was trying to say also was that he is my source of love, strength,and peace. Not people. I just didn't understand. Now i see what is the root cause of attracting all the abusive, narcissistic relationships.. I learned at a very young age, people were more powerful, because my power was taken away. Thank you so much for this! I knew i needed to get to to the root of the problem,i just didn't know where to start.🌹🌹💖💖
