I have no motivation, I keep failing and going around in circles. I make plans and they never come to fruition. I learned from this that it’s not about how much I can check off my list, but how much I trust God in the moment to do whatever He needs me to do in His time and to get me there in His ways...I already know these truths, but this message was so reassuring, and God spoke to me in a new way. I feel like I am in a very unproductive season of my life now. For nearly 4 years, after I graduated high school all I have done is be a stay at home "mom" for my foster sisters. I still live at home with my controlling mother, and she isn't ecstatic about me being on "fire" for the Lord. I cannot drive so I cannot leave the house usually. I did go to college but didn't pass my certification testing; the only reason I did that was to get out of the house. I felt useless to God because I am not ministering/writing a book/speaking/having community bible study. Even lately I have been seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit and have fell short. I have asked repeatedly and still haven't received the Spirit completely. I know that if I have a little faith this season will pass, but some days the finish line looks so blurry. I pray that I seek not only the big goals in life, but also to enjoy the little moments God gives me everyday.

Praying for you Kerry. I too feel like I'm in a waiting season. Moved back home 2 years ago to help my Mom take care of my Dad who's beginning to get Alzheimer's and my younger sister who has schizophrenia. It's been challenging. I've been looking for work (I'm a nurse) and for whatever reason, I've been only getting rejection letters. I feel like God is wanting me to focus on helping my family for now and trusting Him to provide. You are being used by him to care for your foster sisters and you may never know the impact you are having by being there for them during the season. Hold on in faith. Keep praying. And fast when you can. Some things come only through prayer and fasting.

Luke 16:10 ""Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." The Lord would not add anything up to your life when you haven't committed to the very ones that you already have. May the Lord God Jesus show you His way through. Amen!

Go ahead read a book about it. But then walk in peace and freedom that when it shatters on the rocks of reality which it will most days, remember that you are not being measured by God by how much you get done. Youre being measured by when you trust on the goodness and the wisdom and the sovereignty of God to work this new mess for his glory and the good of everyone involved even when you can't see how. On my 3 year anniversary of giving my life to God in the watery grave, I've come to a point where I felt useless and not doing enough. I'm isolated in the country, and feel like I can't reach people. But God uses everything for a reason, and in all things, I will continue to give Him thanks.
