I know God works through Voddie, Justin Peters, John MacArthur.. here in Louisiana is a WOG. ministry. A Pastor James McMinis..A Wolf.. My now Adult kids go there. He preaches only sweet to the ears. He will Baptize and Praise the person.. He says his son did gis 1st preaching 'I'm so PROUD of him. The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.. NOT Giving GOD THE PRAISE.. I Explain to the main one who goes. Her gay friends go. Now they TRY and say there IS a SCRIPTURE that says its okay..WHAT??? NOooo.. Please I ask Pray for my kids.. my son is 18. In May, My husband, his dad died June. Now he is really not wanting to hear learn about God..Jesus..the Holy Spirit.. I tell my kids You MUST have the conviction of The Holy Spirit.. But what about James 2:17? Faith without deeds is dead
@bloodmooncomix457
@bloodmooncomix457 14 күн бұрын
SYSTEMIC APOLOGETICS: ✝️📜 Here is the concept backed up by scripture: 1. "There is no love without works": James 2:17: "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." 1 John 3:18: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." These verses emphasize that love is demonstrated through actions, not just words or feelings. Without "works", (thoughts words actions behaviors and deeds) love cannot be fully expressed. 2. "There were no works without faith": James 2:26: "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." Hebrews 11:6: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." These scriptures illustrate that true works flow from faith. Faith inspires and drives good works, making them meaningful. 3. "There are no faith without belief": Romans 10:10: "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." These verses show that faith is rooted in belief-without belief, faith would not exist. Belief forms the foundation for faith. In summary, these scriptures support the idea that love is demonstrated through works, works are motivated by faith, and faith is built upon belief. Hopefully this helps 👊😔

Hey thank you so much for taking the time to articulate this...anddddd back it with Scripture. Love that! But these very Scriptures you sited are exactly what confuses me with this sermon... which I've heard before. (The gist of) voddie says (paraphrasing) it is never in the things we do, and as such we mustn't even try. It almost belittles the reason for the Cross. (Implied) I'm going to relisten to the sermon to quote word for word. So my question is what about James who says we must do. And remember all Scripture is God breathed. Also: no prophet prophesied on his own but were carried on by the Lord... this is what I humbly ask clarity for.

I've just relistened I think I didn't get it right the first time. Because Paul's commission to Timothy Is to teach the doctrine (12:44 time stamp) which clears my confusion on "don't dare trust your works" for obviously works should be there. But salvation is by Christ alone. "Our only hope" . Thanks for the sounding board :) @bloodmooncomix457

Yes. Because those who are saved are saved before the foundation of the world. They are securely kept by Christ and will never let anyone including themselves snatch them. It is precisely because of this assurance and security that those who are saved will persevere to the end. They can not do otherwise.

That verse of the Bible that says it's God who works the will and the do was given by Paul in the context of believers in the church. A person is Responsible for choosing to believe, not to brag about, otherwise why God doesn't make everyone to want to seek and believe on Him ?
@O_tropos
@O_tropos Жыл бұрын
You couldnt be more wrong. God works the will and the do. So the very fact that someone believes is because of God that does the will in you. Romans9:11-20 is another proof of that God chooses even before they were born. Ephesians2:8-10 another one. God is the one that does all of it. Isaiah46:7-9 If you say that it's your choice that you believe then you are capable to boast about it. But that is not possible when God does it all.

Jesus coming to save HIS people Matthew 1:21? Jesus and His sheep? Constant theme of Jesus and His people (elect) Hebrews 10:14… the sacrifice is not perfect and is in fact partial if it is for every human to ever walk the earth and directly implies it was not enough to save. Hard to comprehend but is absolutely scriptural

You are very confusing to say that God has elected us before the creation but yet we still have to seek him. If salvation is irresistible how or why do we need to seek him. When it’s time we will get saved. Bible says that it’s not his will that any should perish but that all would believe. If it’s irresistible then why doesn’t everyone get saved if it’s not his will that they should perish.

I wrestled with this question for some time! Here’s what the Lord laid on my heart: The Bible teaches us that faith is a gift of God, not a work (which means an autonomous choice or effort we put forth of our own strength/desire/power). 1 Corinthians 3:6 says, I (Paul) have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. I believe the “increase” is saving faith that spurs the individual to bring forth fruit meet for repentance, the desire to be baptized, the hunger and thirst for righteous, a burden for the lost, etc. I hope this helps. God bless.

Although I disagree with Voddie on the TULIP, the Bible outlines the truth about predestination and man's responsibility. For me, I think the problem is caused when Calvinists preach that man "cannot exercise faith". It's a very problematic teaching because then everyone has to wait for a "big bang" before coming to the Lord. But that's not the case. I got an emotional bang, but I know others who are more mature in faith that didn't. It's a decision one has to make, under the power of the Holy Ghost. Is it irresistible? No it's not. Otherwise, Micah 2:7 won't read "You who are named the house of Jacob: Is the Spirit of the LORD restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good To him WHO WALKS UPRIGHTLY?" And many other Scriptures clearly state that we work out our salvation through faith, otherwise we get cut off. But on the whole, he preaches Christ and as Paul said in Philippians 1, "whether they preach in pretense or in truth", what matters is that Christ is preached. God bless you.

I know that the Dr. Baucham fans will go mad when reading my comment, but here it goes. Most of the preachers on social platforms spew humanistic babble, so Dr. Baucham is a welcomed departure from that. However, I didn't make it beyond the introduction of this sermon. So much pride, arrogance, and self-righteousness is difficult to swallow this early in the day. Many families are broken by generational sin. If you grew up in that environment, survive, and overcome it, that is the grace of God on your life. He loves that broken family and your "duty" to preach your grandfather's funeral was an act of service. The tone in your description of the "women" pastor was unkind at best. Where does the Bible state that only a man can preside over a funeral? Where does it even require the officiant to be a Christian? The deceased has sealed their fate. Anyone can bury the dead I know this is an unpopular post in this environment. Dr. Baucham is not God and he is not yet perfected. I honor his ministry because he has earned honor. But, I will not honor arrogance. Maybe I will watch the rest of the sermon later to gain a full perspective. The intro was unsavory.
@adddaniel2479
@adddaniel2479 11 ай бұрын
Voddie said that while living, his grandfather never showed any inkling of a follower of Christ. The woman pastor who was speaking at the funeral claimed to have a vision that would comfort the family by saying he made it to heaven. This would actually tell the family that no matter what you did with Jesus while living, no matter how you lived in accordance to Christ, you can go to heaven anyway. That is a false doctrine. That will lead people to hell. He was right for opening up Scripture to let them know how someone gains entrance into heaven. Also, scripturally, a pastor must be the husband of on wife. So there shouldn't be any women pastors.
@carolynthompson1895

@@adddaniel2479 I was referring to Voddie's arrogance at the opening of his message. This is the thing, how these people choose to live their lives will not be changed by displaying pride. He was asked to eulogize a man who likely died without God in his life. Does he know that to be the case, no. Does it reflect well that he came back from his grandfather's funeral to boast about his spiritual superiority over those souls? Love is free. Compassion is free. Serving is free. There is a time to evangelize, and there is a time to serve. Of course, you felt the need to educate me on the doctrinal fallacies as if you know more and I know less about what the scripture says. That says everything. God bless.

Don't confuse arrogance with confidence. Noah before the Flood, Elijah vs. prophets of Baal, David vs. Goliath, Paul vs. the Roman leaders.... I'm sure these saints were accused of being arrogant. Jesus and the Pharisees another example. Knowledge of the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit will embolden the most shy, withdrawn person into a powerful voice for Christ. As the word tells us to do, examine ourselves. If biblical teaching bothers us, we really need to examine ourselves.

@@reginamckinney6469 Interesting way of telling me that his arrogance is my problem and I am bothered by biblical teaching! This is a response that I expected because people have a painfully hard time admitting preachers they admire can actually be wrong, or have shortcomings as all humans do. Biblical teaching does not have to be delivered with an air of arrogance. I think people who worship God's servants should examine themselves.

@@carolynthompson1895 The tough thing in this digital age is typing something that expresses your true intent, a lot of times disagreements could be avoided. I definitely don't worship Voddie or any other preacher for that matter, my experience with "men of God" has been a rocky one at best. It's a miracle I'm not an Atheist, but God's grace and learning the Truth of the Gospel (Let God be true and every man a liar) is a blessing for which I can never thank Jesus enough. If I caused you to feel judged, I apologize. Definitely not what I meant. It's funny you assumed I idolize Voddie, not knowing anything about me or my past with preachers. Guess it makes us even... LoL. My point of posting was this... Sometimes God sends the least wanted/liked messengers. Think of Jonah. According to the Bible, he was very bigoted towards the Ninevites. He was even mad because they heeded his words and changed their hearts. Just because we don't like someone's attitude or agree with them 100 percent doesn't mean God won't use them. The Word is The Word and the Holy Spirit will confirm it, no matter the messenger.

Anyone who read the Bible with their eyes open, could see that *God offers salvation to ALL who believe in His Son.* If people can't believe because they have not being chosen from the beginning, but He calls us to preach everyone out there… it would mean God is making fun of us. And that is not the God of the Bible. A sovereign god that has chosen the most of humanity to be suffering in hell for trillions, and trillions, and trillions of years, without any opportunity to choose, *is NOT a loving God,* *is NOT a merciful God,* it’s a god with a corrupt heart, exactly like yours. *CALVINISM is an heressy.*
