I guess we learned that immortality can never be achieved... no matter how much we desire it to be. But, think of it this way. She out lived people _younger_ than her. People who've lived a full, complete, happy and healthy life, who were born a decade after her, maybe even two or three. I find that impressive!

She truly was the face of England. So many generations have known her as the queen, and the first monarch to ever reach a platinum jubilee. But alas, nothing lasts forever. As many of you stated there were other monarchs that ruled for 70 years. before Elizabeth

May her soul rest well. As beautiful as your sentiment is, I need to make a correction to it. Queen Elizabeth wasn't the first monarch to reach 70 years of rule (that was Pharaoh Pepi II Neferkare, who ruled over four thousand years ago), nor was she the first in our lifetime to reach 70 years (King Bhumibol of Thailand¹ reached 70 years just a few months before he died in 2016). However, to most of the world, she is _THE_ Queen, and will continue to be who we all think of when someone says "the Queen". ¹ ⁼ ᴵ'ᵐ ʰᵃˡᶠ ᵀʰᵃᶦ ˢᵒ ᵗʰᶦˢ ᵐᵃᵗᵗᵉʳˢ ᵗᵒ ᵐᵉ

For all my life, as well as that of both my parents, she was queen. Despite being a monarch, she was kind, humble, the best person for the job morally and someone that everyone in the commonwealth respected and looked up to. This tragedy hits me just as hard as the recent passing of technoblade. Being Australian, not british but still in the commonwealth, this news affected me just as much as it would affect the brits and anyone else in the commonwealth. This is the life she deserved to live, and although she passed away before we could get an answer to what she would do on her hundredth birthday, she still lived a long and happy life, and i just feel for her, just like the other 140 million or so people in the commonwealth. I just hope that his majesty the new king can actually follow in her footsteps, as she was the best monarch that the crown ever had. Rest in peace Elizabeth, you will be missed

I guess we have no doubt that her majesty is the most adored and beloveds queen in all England history right?Funny, a great sense of humour, always energetic, that’s what we all saw in her majesty. I Wish her rest in peace, and her name will stay in our heart. I give the royal family my deepest care and love. Although the flesh is gone, the spirit will stay in our heart Goodnight, your majesty -from Hong Kong
