Did you know anyone in Ghana before making your big move? I have started networking and establishing contacts for my big move in 10 years. This is scary. I would have to vet my driver when I come. I will take Uber and pay for his driving school training before he starts the job. I lived in Ghana for years and I know about how risky drivers drive. The Motorway is very dangerous. Many people have lost their lives on that Motorway. Thank God that he brought you back safely. I would have stopped him and got behind the wheel with my American Driver's License. You were brave to even gave him another trial.

@@mallenstribe You've done well. Ghananians are very peaceful. I lived in that country as a refugee for many years. I later moved to Accra and traded between Ghana and Togo. It was a wonderful experience.

I believe that you can take your European/ American license to their motor vehicle, take a test and get an international / Ghananian driver's license. I may be wrong; I left Ghana in 2003.

This is not how to recruit a driver. Go to the labour office. Ask for references.

IN GHANA IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL THE DRIVER TO SLOW DOWN, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE. JUST TELL THEM TO SLOW DOWN OR YOU WILL GET OFF. MOST OF THE TIME THEY WILL LISTEN BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT IS WRONG. EN IN AN UBER OR TAXI, JUST TEL THEM.
