When I heard your cover, I realized that there was the perfect opportunity to the party to have a multiple boss fight options for the climax. So, if they side with the questgiver, who is not a good person but has the magic item they need, they get God Shattering Star. If they side with the fallen paladin to kill the quest giver and retrieve the artifact, they are getting your cover (she is quite powerful, so your version does her justice by far). Rhea and Emperor Wilhelm I boned during the Nemesis saga. So Edelgard is a descendant of Rhea and there's very strong subtext about her negative traits running in the family/coming from Rhea in the game.
