Just listened to a David Wilkerson sermon that was about this very thing. It was about abiding in Jesus' presence, having the secret, quiet time alone with him, just being in his presence. How that's the only way we're going to be able to endure and have true success in his kingdom. Having that oil in our lamps. Amen.

This is exactly the situation I'm in. All was good. Then Adversity.... I quickly realised I can't do this alone. I need God with me. I joined a church. It didn't get easier. It got harder! Pushed to my limit but for a reason! I have met so many God minded people along the way in the last few months. Slowly I'm be placed, God willing, where he wants me to be and to do what He wants me to do. I don't know where and what yet. So I pray and see what happens.

Amen brother, I was actually talking to OUR FATHER IN CHRIST about this the day before yesterday. even people who do not believe do not sustain themselves. Sure they may build houses with wood and stone but where did the wood and stone come from that they may build. Sure they buy groceries and cook food but where did the food come from so they can cook. Sure they use their hands to wash their body but were did the water come from that they may do it. And on and on. Even if GOD wanted to shut someone's mouth so they cannot speak HE can do that too. We are all at the mercy of GOD even those who do not believe. And no one can give THEMSELVES THE HOLY SPIRIT either.

This really helped me today thank you for this word. It seems like most people think we should just get busy for God rather than developing our relationship with Him. The works we do must come from our relationship with Him, abiding in Him.

Consider this: it may be He merely wants you - for this time being - to be salt and light shining in the darkness where you are. I know you've heard David Pawson's excellent sermon on "Salt and Light". That's an important and necessary assignment! When I was saved, I was the only one born again in my family and I was the youngest. It seems God chooses the least likely (at least in my case) to be salt and light to the others around us. Hope that encourages you. Every single part of the body of Christ is important and indispensable! God bless you!

I grew up in and around Beirut. My brothers were altar boys there. (I was too young) we left for home (the UK) when the war was bad in 1976. My father told me the joke about Lebanese taxi drivers who do more to bring people to God than anyone. It is true God works in mysterious ways his wonders to perform and he will guide us to his will if we are open to it when the time is right. The Old Testament says the Israelites are a stiff necked people (obstinate) and in many ways we are too, but He is long of nose. (Very patient).

It hasn't been easy on the kids, but they are in His hands and they are adapting well. One thing that was very hard, is that we were struck with many diseases at first. God almost brought us to our knees. But I wouldn't for one second regret what we have been taught throughout the tribulations. When I look back two years ago, there was so much pride in me. We can forget that He has been patient with us. God bless you too

Yes God opened up the red sea for us on that day. We were surprised. He is more powerful than we think, we need to have more faith

I encourage you to Research 'torpor'--it is written that is the glory of kings to search out a matter...and to find what you must overcome within yourself is virtuous because by overcoming what is within yourself, you will gain power, the very power of God for your message to move in power--the reason is obvious... "Go ye therefore and teach all nations" 👍
