This clip is edited and accompanied by medleys, the first of which is from King Kong, and the second from the 'Forces of Nature'. It's nothing too fancy but please leave your comment on this historical event. This version of Exodus was broadcast by ABC as a miniseries. I'm not against religion, but some of you guys are in way over your head man. I think if there is a god, he doesn't want you to waste your lives worshiping him like he was some ultimate dictator. He's supposedly perfect, therefore he wouldn't strive for power or want to 'rule' and be worshiped like some giant pharaoh. He'd want you to live and evolve rather than spend your days licking his boots and asking for blessings.

***** That's an interesting way to put it. I'm a little doubtful of that mindset though. If there's a God who loves us and so on, wouldn't he want us to be good people for ourselves? I mean sure, it's still your choice and you're still doing it because you want to, but if we do it for God it feels less meaningful than if we legitimately just want to help that person. I think it's fair to try and dwell on this: If somehow we found out there was no God (let's pretend it's possible to prove that), would you still do as many good things as you did before? I know I would, and that makes me feel a lot better. I think if there's a God, that's the point, we're not supposed to know he exists precisely so we act on our own. Because if God's existence was a definite certainty, we'd all act based on what he would want or what we think he wants rather than how we decide to act ourselves.

Hey, I think what you said is a really smart observation. Everything you said except the last sentence. You see, God wants you to be his family. He wants to call you his son. Through Jesus we can be adopted into son ship. As people made by God we share many quality's that God has, such as a desire for relationship. I know as a father to my new family, my desire for my children reflects the desire God has for us.

This is why I never became a full atheist rather than an agnostic. Aside from the occasional nutt, there are a lot of smart religious people that find the right perspective on it and make it all fit in. And we truly can't deny all the possibilities religion offers. Considering how much we don't know, there's still room for so much more.

this is a great video because it displays how Moses didnt give in to the pressures of the Hebrews' doubt and the fear of being caught by Pharaoh. Instead, he looked straight to God, and that allowed Him to work through him. Its Moses' faithfulness that got him and everyone through. No matter what the world tells you, don't ever doubt how powerful God is, and NEVER give in to the pressures of this world. God Bless!! :D

My faith and love for God go beyond, 'Oh well, you don't agree with me, good luck to you.' I try to do what Peter asked us to do, and that is, give the reasons for the faith that is found within us, because THAT faith, was given to us freely, but at a great cost on God's part: the shedding of his blood. So I think, I study, I research, while at the same time I have already come to know, that God is with me, with us. All I would hope for here is a decent dialogue where both parties can grow.

This scene was taken from the 2006 made for tv movie "The Ten Commandments" with Dougray Scott as moses. Growing up with the original 1956 Charleton Heston version nothing can come close but this version is worth checking out. i had mixed feelings about it when i first saw it but keeping an open mind i found it entertaining i can say this the parting of the red sea will blow you away and you will believe.its available at amazon for an unbelievable low price $6.99 so im picking up a copy today.
