Please play a game with this deck so we can see how it works, half of the comments are confused about what you're doing and after playing a couple games with it myself it feels like it takes forever to put enough lands down to do what the deck needs

Im just gonna write this like an EDHRec entry The idea is to have the commander and one of the “when you cast (type) spell, you may untap this creature” creatures on the battlefield when you choose to combo. You need to have the 0 mana spell either in your hand or on the battlefield Untap creature must not have summoning sickness Mana required: U at minimum 1. Cast one of the 2 spells that grant “tap this creature, return target permanent to its owner’s hand”, targeting the creature that can untap itself 2. Bumbleflower triggers. Target opponent draws a card and target creature gains a +1/+1 counter 3. Cast free spell or tap creature to return free spell to hand. 4. Bumbleflower triggers. 5. Repeat from step 3 Effect: infinite storm count, infinite +1/+1 counters, infinite card draw for opponents. Obviously, if you draw a card when you have no cards in library, you automatically lose

This is devious. Untapping a creature when you play an artifact only to tap that creature when the 0 cost artifact is replayed bouncing the artifact to hand. Using bumbleflower's inate ability to cycle through the deck enough to find the pieces, but if you can't essentially buffing creature's one +1/+1 at a time & giving them flying. I love this. When Bloomburrow came out, I was running a Frogs deck in standard that runs through clement worrywart, Valley Mightcaller, mistbreath elder, and Long River Lurker. I love being able to bounce my own stuff and recast it for multiple triggers. I still have it constructed, and since Foundations it's not optimal anymore, it still wins games against meta decks.

It’s tough though, cause you can draw your opponent into an answer if they aren’t tapped out. If they stop you then they get 1 turn to play the best thing and then they either discard their hand or play thought vessel

Transformed Heliod and Ancestral Statue can already loop and force op to lose by drawing their whole deck. Add Kutzil, Grand Abolisher, or any card that prevents interaction and voila.

Do you think you could make a budget Alexios deck? It’s a cheap uncommon commander from assassins creed which is pretty much slicer but better in some cases. Pump him up with artifacts and build up a good defense and you’ll win the game slowly but surely

A word of caution. Alexios isn't as good as it seems to playgroups that know how trample works. As the controller of Alexios, you can choose to assign all the damage to the 1/1 chump blocker. So, I send your Alexios to another play, assign all damage to the 1/1 chump blocker, and send the rest of my guys at you, for putting us in this position. It's the reason why Rite of the Raging Storm isn't good. So you occasionally get through for someone with a chump blocker, big deal. You've just earned the entire ire of the table. The best creature removal is player removal.

Love all the deck techs Mitch. Your deck techs have Inspired many a deck of mine. And I love your dedication to stick to budget builds. Speaking of Stenn, Paranoid Partisan.. my strongest deck is a variation of your build on him. Keep up the great work sir! Like a lot of Bant commanders, they can go a lot of different ways. I've won 2 games with Commander Damage by just making her large, and one with an alternate win con. The big thing is to remember she wants those two spells per turn, so flash and instant speed are your friend.

Yes, you could focus on the +1/+1 counters/flying aspect of the commander instead. If you wanted some more power but more value-focused you could incorporate rhystic studies, mystic remora, smothering tithe

upgrade the land base, add smothering tithe, rhystic study, mystic remora, switch out for better tutors and a couple more combos. I'm experimenting with tamiyo inquisitive student, twenty-toed toad, lonis, and karametra currently. evolution witness has won me a couple games with 0 mana artifacts that sac themselves to recur from evolution witness' triggered ability.

I am so confused! Where is the 'infinite casting' that you're alluding to, actually coming from in this deck? I see two instant cards that allow you to return one permanent to hand (each) for one turn, and that's it. So, how would you be casting anything "again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, etc."?

Have Ms Bumbleflower on the battlefield. Target battered golem with banishing knock or retraction helix then tap battered golem to return a 0 mana cost artifact to your hand and cast a 0 mana artifact again which will trigger battered golem to untap. repeat. you may replace battered golem with one of the other creatures that untap when something enters the battlefield including midnight guard, mirran spy, etc.

Am I missing something? How do you prevend yourself from having an empty library? Each time your opponent draws a card, you draw 2, don't you?

It says if this is the second time this has resolved, draw two. That's all. They draw for every spell.

there's a lot of overlap in the deck with card abilities and plenty of combo possibilities that this doesn't matter. for instance, evolution witness + any two 0 mana artifacts that sacrifice themselves is one of the easiest combos and not even in the deck

I miss that part too. I understand you can untap a creature if you cast a creature or artifact. You play cost reducers to make casting artifacts free. I miss the card he is using to make his opponents mill. I know of one card that could make this work, but it is very slow.

The commander itself makes an opponent draw a card whenever you cast a spell. That is why there were so many ways to abuse free casting spells.

@@cardboardwizards Yeah. I get that. I've been playing Magic for 30 years. I can figure out why free spells interact well with the commander. I just wanted more about playing the deck, not just an overview of the 99.
