I'd love to learn more about ways that the Sanskrit concepts do/don't translate. For me, I notice that in both mainstream and alternative Western spirituality, spirit and matter are seen as opposed, or matter being inherently inferior. My research so far indicates that in Hinduism, the relationship between spirit and matter can be more positive: material desires and spiritual growth can balance and support each other. Material needs without spiritual awareness become selfish and unfulfilling, but spiritual growth without grounding in the material world can quickly become destabilized and corrupted. This makes sense in my practice because, for me, the ultimate spiritual act is to love, and the most meaningful acts of love are often material - making someone food, taking care of their bodies, listening to their concerns about their daily, mundane lives, etc. Is this an accurate description of one of the differences between Theosophy and the Hindu concepts Blavatsky was borrowing? Or am I missing something?

Ordinary people should probably strive to a balance between material and spiritual good, but there are also holy people who follow some variation of the right hand path (purity and/or denial of material desires) or, more rarely, the left hand path (transgressive acts, material decadence).

Something im noticing and trying to bring some attention to but is dismissed and ignored, more alarming.. as above,so below,. After practically being worked to death and drained by what really appears to be a family of human cowbirds, im still not ok but I see that isn't a solar disk, but a cowbird egg between the horns on the head of the woman in the menkure Egyptian trinity. The walking sticks are usually hidden or removed, and the other woman is the Pharo, and he enslaves and siphons her essence while she preforms caregiver duties in addition to whatever else is loaded on until she breaks. Again and again, lifetimes followed. If this is happening underground insects, flying insects, in water, in birds, and science and government and military facilitate and protect the brood parasitism, and invalidate and label crazy people who talk about it happening with people, then they shouldn't be surprised when covert slavery in humanity is just open air market again. Im so exhausted, this might sound like an unhinged rant, but im aware of more than 3 layers, there's a harvesting that has no problem breeding someone with intent to take a part of their brain, and toss them back as if it never happened in a society that very much relies on that part of the brain to succeed. Theosophy owes more to Advaita Vedanta, and Theravada, than it ever got from Mahayana or Tenri. Buddhism is a beard for the wider and more complete arena of Vedanta (of which Theravada Buddhism is a part of) in its influence on both 19th century mysticism and philosophy in the west. I know Crowley and others wanted to pretend its all Vrajayana buddhism but thats flat out bullsht!
