It’s extremely comforting to find other teenagers who are close to God. I felt so alone with seeing how a very large majority of teens where I live (in America) are extremely promiscuous from a young age. Myself included at one point, I walked away from God for about 4-5yrs of m6 adolescence and am now moving back towards him and building a relationship with the Lord again. And it’s awesome and feels great, but for so long I felt alone in being so young and so serious about the Lord. I wanted a romantic relationship so bad especially seeing everyone else around me in one’s but it was only in seeing others have it that I wanted it. For so long I was fine being single up until I made some friends that were very bad influences. Anyway, the point is I’m on my Christian journey and getting closer to God and I know now that I didn’t have any want for romance at this stage in my adolescence for a reason and now I really don’t want it. This video was meant for me (I'm a teenager)... I just wrote a lot of text in Google Docs about not just my thoughts, but as a prayer to God, and I prayed that God would reveal to me what I need to do, and I feel that He just showed me this video, and another one that spoke to me deeply. I really want a relationship as a teenager, but I should be focusing on my first love (which is Christ according to Revelation 2:4-5), rather than wasting my time trying to have some kind of fragment of a real relationship with a stranger I may never know. I’m at a weird stage in my life, I grew up around a religious environment, church, saturdays were for studying, ect. Then my living situation changed and so did my involvement with god, and I developed constantly changing mindset that involved me saying I didn’t want to find follow god because I was forced into it or out of fear of going to hell. I wanted to find god on my own whim and for genuine faith and love. And as of now I’m starting to get back into it. But there’s something so hard about it. Apart of me has that fear still of why I’m doing this, and I don’t want it to be because of a crisis of what happens when we die. But very slowly I hear more sermons and I’m slowly reading the Bible start to finish (even though I already know some of the stories) and it comforts me slowly, because I realize that I should be changing my life and actions to show my faith and believe that Jesus died for me, and humans because we are all naturally going to sin, but he died so we could get a chance at redemption and even with our sins, come out as better people overall. Because doing good just to get into heaven wont get you there, doing good because it is just the right thing to do and because we have the opportunity to is what will redeem you. At least what I’m slowly getting.

I’m a teenager and I’m in love with a close friend of mine currently (been in love with him for over 2 years now out of the 5 I’ve known him but haven’t confessed yet) but I know I want to continue to work on myself until I feel like it’s time for me to confess to him, or hopefully he confesses to me. Whether we get into a relationship soon I’m still going to continue to work on improving and taking care of myself, as well as doing my best to follow God’s will. It’s really wonderful seeing teenagers around my age group really going after the Most High. This is especially true when most kids my age are on TikTok and other socials posting nonsense that ends up distracting me from my walk with God too.
