Your videos are the best because you explain so many things that others just don't consider. They are clear, concise and by the time you are done you've given me the confidence that I might just be able to tie one like that some day. Thanks for taking the time to make each of these videos exceptional.

You were so right, these are addictive to tye. I love tying them. I have never liked spinning deer hair but I have always loved how it looked after trimming. So, after tying a few of these after watching this video, I realized how much I was smiling and enjoying myself at the vise. So I now love to spin deer hair, and these are really great fun to tie. Thanks for sharing, your voice is one of the easier ones to listen to as well. All the best, Sean

They are fun to tie, a bit time consuming but fun. They also catch a lot of fish.

Used a dark brownish today, but we used a floating line with show let and made it sink to about 2m down here in a lake in sweden, got a nice trout on first cast, who would have thought xD

What's the thought behind wrapping the hackle front to back (ie from hookeye to body) and working the thread back through vs straight forward from the deer body, is it just for a more secure tie?
