he didn't use gameshark, he use a turbo controller and a clamp and left alucard in the outer wall in a place where medusas keep spawning, then he opened the ps1 lid and removed the disc to prevent any were to the ps1 laser and sotn disc, acording to the author it took 1 month with the ps1 on for about 12 hours /day

lol crissaegrim. Shield rod+ alucard Shield combo is the best item prior to top level masamune. Crissaegrim still leaves you open for enemy attacks while the Shield rod + alucard shield combo gives you invincible frames once you connect a hit. Plus, it also heals you with every hit.

@Alvin940 yes the easiest way to level up is to use daggers and use eguipment that lovers your stats...so you can use many daggers on one of those octopus enemies in that room which is full of them.

When Alucard gains a level some of his attributes grows randomly. STR, CON, INT and LCK, can rise by 0, 1 or 2 points, but if one of them rise by 2, the others will rise 0. MP can rise 4 or 5 points. So the best result for a level up are STR, CON, INT and LCK to rise 1 point and MP to rise by 5. To have maxed status you need to get this result at every gained level.

Best stats: Collect 50 hearts. Kill Richter's Dracula under 1 minute, take no hit, use all your Hearts. Kill Dracula using Cross Crash. Then, I managed to make Infinity Glitch (frozen shade) from level 1 (very hard to collect relics and an extra heart refresh without leveling up). Wolf Rise with Claymore tech very needed. Fairy money glitch needed. Skip Cerberus tech needed. Tech to kill enemies without taking experience needed. All Wolfs' relics needed. Gravity boots needed. Holy Symbol needed (infinity glitch was not activating without it). Must avoid killing ALL Frozen shades, or you will level up. I had to slow frames and try dozens of times to get the perfect RNG. Very hard. Use Ice Sword to attack Frozen shade, so the glitch can fully activate. Only after 9999 max HP and Hearts, I came to level up. All level ups were retried many times to always get best results (1pt to each stat, plus 5 pts mana), so 99 everything around level 90. After that, as I could not know the stats, I focused on mana points only. Made white rooms to level up Walk Armor to 100 (sink roles needed). Killed Medusa Heads with turbo button and acceleration to level up Muramasa to 999. (Funny bug: my Muramasa was already around level 500 when I collected it). Got all items etc. End results: HP max: 14,597 Mana: 520 Hearts: 1,195 Of course there are glitchy to raise your stats even more. My result is based on the in game glitches. (No item making, no game shark, no stone sword glitchs). And for some damned reason, I can't reset the map/bosses, which could be nice to feel being "The Lord of the Castle", re-fight the bosses (but never saving so they don't disappear). Sad I can't reset the map... (US version) Of course I was using epsxe.

@InShatteredMolds a. not all enemies. b. enemies reappear as soon as you leave lol c. with the duplicator you can use the son of sire (i think that's what it's called) and go into a room filled with enemies, kill them, then repeat. This is just one possible way. there are probably others

I'm a bit late though but I just would like to point out some of things I have noticed. 1. When unequipped, his ATT is 109. It shoots up to 999 solely due to the overlypowered Muramasa (which is not cheating) 2. When unequipped, his DEF is 1 Which makes a lot of sense. And I don't think he is cheating. I for one would appreciate the astonishing level of effort he puts in to power up that beast. I previously presumed it would take a lifetime to reach 999 though. Great vids man, Deixadilson

To to the 'Bat dive kick' just make a 'dive kick' (jump,jump, down+ jump) and turn into bat. Ring of Varda raises 30 STR, 10 CON, 30 INT and 5 LCK. It doesn't increases DEF other besides from the DEF given by CON. 10 CON may give you like 1 DEF only. I don't need anymore STR cause I already have max ATT and INT and LCK aren't much useful now. I need Nauglamir to reach 100 DEF so I can pass through enemies without flinch.

@SistemBlak You have to kill DRacula under a minute as Richter w/o getting damage and w/o getting any sub-weapon. Taht allow you to start with 85 HP. Reach LV 99 and get all Life Max Ups and Your HP will be 4918

Crisagrim is still the best sword in the game you get in the upside down library from the floating head things in the begining. It has lower attack but it hits like a few times and you can walk while using it.

A good remake I can think of is Metroid Zero Mission. Improved the original and kept the feeling in every way, while using the movement physics from Super Metroid. You even got to play the original Metroid as a bonus after beating the game.

Vandal Sword drops it. The Black panther drops masamune which has a similar name and looks.

@Sonic3nKnuckles Equip 2 duplicatorsd and your int may go down to 1 and your dagger sub-weapon will cause 1 damage. You will need to throw a whole bunch of daggers to kill an octopus and every dagger will spill blood on you. Take damage using the blood cloack and it will refil your hearts. And the blood will refil yor HP.

You only can have one Dracula tunic and two Rings of Arcana cause no enemy drops them and these aren't on sale. But you can have 99 Axe Lord Armors. The Spiked Ball found along with Bone Pillar in Royal Chapel drops them.

The Quicker way to abtain EXP is using bomb items like Bat Pentagram with Duplicator against Spectral Sword36 (The one in Anti-Chapel). Enter the room, use the bomb, exit, repeat. That way you can get about 30 EXP per second. You can gain a level or put all familiars at LV 99 in 15 minutes.

Years ago, I got my Alucard so strong that he was able to kill Dracula in only 5 hits. I have no idea how I did it though. I just kept replaying areas and saving until he was maxed out. I had nothing special equipped. I had the flying sword and the triple bladed sword though. But no rings or special clothes.

that sword doesn't allow for 999 attack like his Muramasa does. Muramasa gains more attack and permanent, the more you kill monsters that bleed and spill on you(for the healing effect same as Dark Metamorphasis).

I avoided nothing. I mistakenly assumed that you had a clue. If you're unaware of the sword brothers glitch which can result in an unlimited supply of money, perhaps you do not know the game as fully as you believe. It's an entirely in-game process, requiring no external hardware of any kind and can be performed on the live arcade version as well.

It's 3636 Rooms. Ring of Varda gives STR and INT+30 CON+10 LCK+5. ATT with Muramasa is 999 even with no other equips. Nauglamir gives 15 DEF, with Nauglamir, my DEF reach 100. With 100 DEF or above you don't flinch with enemy attacks.

Yeah that's hard to beat. I used to use two chrissagrims, dragon helm, walk armor, twilight cloak, 2 ring of Varda's and leveled up to 99. You could basically walk without ever stoping with two crissagrims lol

Yeah, to power up Muramasa I left Alucard with the mirror cuirass in a room in Black Marble Gallery where a lot of Medusa Head comes, and I used a turbo controler to keep Alucard attacking over the night. It's a automated way to make Muramasa absorb the blood and a get lot of kills.

Esse "reflexo" vermelho q vc viu no vídeo, provavelmente é o efeito passivo da espada dele (Muramasa). Qnd vc tá com essa espada equipada, vc fica com o "Dark Metamorphosis" ativo sem custo de mp/mana. OBS: "Dark Metamorphosis" é aquela magia q qnd vc encosta no sangue de algum oponente (Qnd vc causa dano de corte em um inimigo e sai sangue) vc regenera o seu HP por 8 pontos. Espero ter ajudado :D

Hahaha, vdd. Castlevania SotN é simplesmente incrível. Eu tb jogo esse game até hoje, só q no PS3. É um jogo que cativa na primeira jogada e sem dúvida o melhor jogo de todos os tempos, cheio de armas, fases, chefes e muitos segredos (como o castelo invertido). Divirta-se ae nas suas jogatinas e flw :D

It caps at +99, while the Muramasa caps at +999, without taking innate character STR and other items into account. (Which doesn't change things too much anyway. I think you still cannot reach even +400 with Badelaire and everything combined even then.)

you can 999 with badelaire through Reset glitch. the time goes crazy and reaches 6957:59:59

I have a similar file on my PSP. :) I was always trying to make a perfect Alucard. My Alucard started the game with 80 HP... And now he has 3298 I think. He's level 91 and got full on all stats (since level 88). I hope I can do the "Extra percentege" glitches on my PSP.

Walk armor ends up being stronger than God's Garb though. I don't know if you have to wear it while discovering the map though for it to get that high but I always equip it as soon as I pick it up in the game
