Wow impressive, I would like to see a tutorial explaining how you managed to do this, the result is very beautiful, now I admire you much more

Extremely cool demo. I'm a little late but I must say the performance is pretty fair too. Now I know I can expect about 60 FPS on an RTX 2060 for a game in Godot with more or less these visuals, which is not bad, and ~80 FPS with FSR2/~160 FPS with FSR3, which is pretty insane. Seeing this demo updated for Godot's FSR 2.2 (or even 3 if possible since it's open source too) would be just incredible

This looks beautiful, makes me want to go back and finish my Souls Godot 4 demo i was working on a few months back. But i haven't touvh a line of GD Script code in a while. Been venturing into C++ to learn GDExtensions😅

I noticed there wasn't a decent VR example for Godot 4 and wondered was their a technical reason why. Now I see it's possible.

This is going to get used in so many godot 4 showcase videos

This is very similar to what I want graphically. The funny thing, of course, is that I can do most of this, but I fail hard at putting it together (and by most, I suck at lighting and at modeling rocks) :)) And I've struggled to make a terrain streaming system for godot, and failed... my ambition outpaced my skill by a few light years :)) This is really sweet :) Congratulations man! I hope I get to this level too

im a new dev and this is pretty much exactly the type of lighting ive been wanting to create, do you have any tips for me to achieve something like this? I'm not really sure where to start, ive been trying to figure stuff out using the DirectionalLight3D node so far. It wouldn't be need to be as amazing as this, i'd just like some good looking low poly light and glow! thanks

Looks amazing. Well done! Do you think you would be able to scale it up for a whole "level" or "world"? Or does it only run well with small test area. You can make some breath of the wild shit with this 👏

Tested on m2 base mac mini, getting around 15-20 fps.

@@shikhermyv if you convert the particle systems to CPU particles or just completely disable them, the performance on mac should profit a lot.

Pero la luz indirecta creo que no debería crear esas sombras en la pared tan perfiladas creo que deberían ser más difusos esos contornos.

The sound is also very good. Is the background music free?
@picsterАй бұрын
You can check the license here: github.com/RPicster/godot4-demo-desert-light The music is CC-BY licensed, so you can use it, but have to give credits to my friend Paolo Dollorenzo who made this nice piece of ambient music.
