I mean in my experience i usually liked project managers and they helped me work better and organise my tasks and stuff but I guess some gamedevs would also want to fire their project managers haha. Totally agree. I just hope this does not affect the engine developers or game developers who use Godot nor the games produced with the engine. Godot is a good piece of software that can bring so much to the gaming industry as a whole. It's good because is allowing a lot of people to start in game development and programming in general. It's good for educational purposes. It's good because it's putting the ability to create interective software of almost any kind for free and open source. And it's good because it's a real alternatve to other engines leading the industry so now they have to think twice before even trying wierd things like th Unity changing price policy problem a while ago. But all that can disappear if the engine stop receiving support. I started with BASIC a veeery long time ago, then was flash action script, then Construct, Unity, now Godot. The world evolves and if you like game development you have to adapt and change and evolve. The important thing is to make games, no matter the tools. But it's sad that a nice tool goes down because of a misbehaving child pretending to be a resonable adult who sadly is in what is nowadays a position of power and who (I totally agree with you) has done her job poorly and should be ashamed. But hey! What do I know? Hope you the best of lucks! Happy development anyways!

Yeah, Godot is a really good engine. I'm rooting for its development, even though I'm a Unity user, and that says a lot haha. Hopefully, this won't affect the engine's progress. Thank you, and I wish you happy development as well!

Well rejoice because Redot has been forked and will concentrate on number one compatibility and number two features and pull requests wanted by the community of user not ignoring regular users in favour of meeting the needs of corporate sponsors.

Okay! The tweet was controversial, but it was nothing harmful. Those anti-wokists were just creating unnecessary drama and 90% of them don't even know what a game engine is. Those people started throwing hates on the engine and were banned. Many of the people were banned which were undeserving, which is a totally expected reaction given the situation. IMO the situation was handled poorly on both sides. This is coming from someone who's been banned from the official Godot server

"Anti-wokists creating unnecessary drama" didn't happen. the person who made all this drama was Godot's CM going after literally anybody , hiding thousands of replies and blocking people who simply said focus on the engine and not politics. as an Anti-woke person myself , if that tweet was all it was i'd simply roll my eyes and move on. that's what we all would've done but of course you have to make things worse , make it our fault and cry victim when people call you out for it. "those people started throwing hates on the engine and were banned" and of course you lie , what about "focus on the engine please and not politics" or "hey Godot can you fix this font issue i had for like months now and its holding my project back" and getting blocked for it is throwing hate at the engine???? people WANTED the engine to be better. people cared for the engine as it was the most promising thing to look for after Unity fiasco and it shot itself in the foot and then shot its own community and now people have made a fork in spite of that (which is going to be even better imo within a few years) ultimately , i'm sick and i'm tired of all this blaming games that y'all do all the time , its time you grow up and realize you are the source of the problem and if you changed for the better none of these would've happened. being anti-woke is not a crime , its a right that was given to us at birth.

@@leorelic I am an anti-woke too. But the mass blocking by the CM was totally an expected reaction given the amount of hate they were getting over a harmless tweet. And for the Mass-Blocking, the Godot Foundation has already apologized. I was blocked at their Server too, but I am unblocked now...
