The VL200 has more of a magenta tint to it whilst the LA150Bi leans more towards green, an easy fix in post though. Both lights are great with the slight advantage going to the LA150 for being Bi-colored.

They are definitely 2 great lights and you could not go wrong with either one. I will agree that the VL200 does have that magenta tint to it. Thank you for stopping over. Hope to see you again.

Is it a Godox mount or Bowens mount? If Godox, does it come with Bowens adapter? Any idea if a Godox FLS8 Fresnel can be mounted on it

I don't know about the FLS8 but I can tell you it is a Bowens mount.

I like the LA150Bi better, but only because the VL200, at the same power setting of 8%, put out more lumens than the LA150Bi. Because of that, if you have a lux detector or an i1 Display pro with the diffuser deployed to match the lumens between the two, I think it would have been a harder call. Because the LA150Bi put out less light, it had softer look with less wash out on your skin which I found really pleasant as the key light. The softboxes, regardless of the one used, I feel gave the same end conclusion, even though there was a slightly noticeable difference between the two soft boxes. The light intensity itself is what really got me. I also think the color temp for the LA150Bi was more toward the under side variance of the set white target, which gave a bit more warmth, but I would have to do a lot more investigation to see if that is what was happening rather than just intensity (and I don't feel like pulling out the i1 pro 2 spectro just to check the intensity and the color temp on your face, while noting the variances of the areas displayed on my display). But, once again, because I think the VL200 was brighter, I can't be sure it was a white point difference between the lights. But great video and thank you for going through this!!!

Thank you so much for such an indepth response. I really appreciate the feedback. I have really been liking the LA150Bi more and more that I use it. The difference between the soft boxes has really been a different story. I really like the QR-P90 but it is really large for a smaller space. I wish it was just a little bit shallower.

Can you adjust the light angle on either of these lights or are they fixed? Thanks.
@BrianTheCameraGuy2 жыл бұрын
Yes, both lights come with the ability to adjust the light up or down. Typically I have the light height be the bottom of the soft box is level with the top of my head. I then have the light pointing down at me at about a 45 degree angle with the floor. Does that make sense?

Why are we comparing the 150 at 8% against the other at 8%.isnt the max power what is to be compared? I feel we was re being a little nice to the 150 litemons
@BrianTheCameraGuy2 жыл бұрын
I never thought about that. I was just thinking do you need more to make the shots look the same. Great feedback. Thank you!!

@@BrianTheCameraGuy yes Brian, I think both points of view are equally important before making a purchasing decision.

I would agree. Thank you for the feedback. It will definitely help me make strong videos. Thank you, thank you!!
