Looks good - my only concern is the modelling light, it's significantly less powerful than on AD400 (12W vs 30W).

yeah il have a few for the size , the modelling light is weak but its only going to be used as a guide . for out of the way locations . where a decent little LED .. it doesnt take long to get used to the equipment

@@Avat6 yes im more concerned about the size and weight for getting my kit about on a motorbike , i can get my d850 and three lenses in one pannier .so my lighting with collapsible softbox brolly and small reflector dishes in the other , ha ha i know it sounds limiting but i can get anywhere off the beaten track this way . and rough it for months , ☺☺ . given enough batteries , andcstill have room for my 70l rucksack 😃

cheers buddy , using flash for a few years , iv never had anything with a modeling light , at most iv walked around the scene with a wide LED torch to get an idea what im lighting up , and a basic direction from what to set up in

Question..I bought the Flashpoint 300 pro. and love it, but cant fire it at the lowest setting of 1/256 with my on camera transmitter it wont go lower than 1/128 ?? any way to shoot it at 1/256 ??

Very nice but seems awfully expensive relative to the rest of the Godox line. One AD300Pro or two AD200s? Approximately the same price and in either case an "S" type bracket is required to use Bowens mount accessories. Differing capabilities to be sure but still a consideration (for me). The variable color temp LED will seal the deal for many, I'm sure. Last Black Friday I saw the AD400Pro listed for $419. Still kicking myself for passing on that deal :-(

​@@tomhughes5123 Yes I'm well familiar with them as with Adorama's Flashpoint in the USA, etc. I haven't found the service to be any different personally, both are very good! I just personally prefer the straight Godox brand as I find it quite hard to find outside China that isn't a grey market. With Lencarta being the official UK Repair centre it's nice to know it's Godox branded and backed by Godox directly. Either way, they all do the same thing and are fantastic products!

Currently, there is no spare battery (VB30) sold separately for AD300pro. Is the Godox VB29 battery (for AD200), that seems to fit, usable on AD300pro? Is there a difference in use or performance?

It is compatible with the X triggers (X1, X2 and X Pro), as for the bracket you need the Godox S2 bracket. Hope this helps!!!

Regular S bracket is a no. It's the S2 bracket it works with.

Hi! I want ask you GODOX if you konw that ITTL mode of V860II and V1 flash DOESN'T WORK on NIKON D780!.. Please solve this HUGE problem!.. Do you have some firmware for GODOX V860 II and GODOX V1 for Nikon D780, because they perfectly work on older Nikon, but they don't instead on Nikon D780. Here's the problem who has each Nikon D780's owner : iTTL doesn't absolutely work well on the 780, but it perfectly does on an older Nikon' s camera.. Can you do anything trough some firmware, please!? I'm a great client Godox and I think my Godox flash in general work perfectly and I don't want change them. Thank you! D.

it would cost a bomb in taxs to the uk . i got my daughter a neps1 eyepiece for £28 there was a £20 import duty on it . smaller and lighter than a matchbox . SO not good at the moment .

This is no doubt a reliable flash but to use it outdoor daily with an ambient temp of 38-40deg as in the case of mid east I'm afraid the flash won't last long. On my recent shoot after awhile it smells something is burning inside. Maybe use two of it instead of one so power can be set a stop less. My goal btw when using flash outdoor is over powet or under expose the ambient light.

i have no problems with 12 w modeling light ..i know from night time excursions a 3w led light is blinding at 50m + im just no looking to replace my mint pixapro 360 pro .its 3600w of brilliance , iv never used it on full power the battery lasts a ridiculous length of time ,

good point that 360 watts is a nice bit of power and your right the modeling lamp is wonderful on the ad300 pro I made a few videos on my channel at night where it was very helpful.

not sure why you need this with AD400 and AD200 1/2 stop difference over the AD200 True the AD200 has no modelling light BUT outdoor there no need for one as you’ll not see it, if you need a modelling light you can use the AD-B2 ALSO not a Bowen mount so all your modifiers will not fit. WHY?

I have an AD200 and I think that AD300 is a nice addition to it. They have the same battery. For sunny days AD300 will give half a stop more light and it'll recycle twice faster than AD200 in it's power range. And you are not limited to shooting outside cause you have modelling light (you can also mix this modelling light to lamps inside cause you can always choose the right color temperature). And it'll weight the same as AD200 + bowens mount. The weight of AD300PRO is 1.25 KG and AD400PRO weights 2.1 KG. I think I'll add it to my AD200. As a bonus I'll have a portable fill/key light combo.

Good flash, fix the stupid battery reset problem. If you leave the battery without charge it will go to sleep and you have to crack open the battery to fix it. Serious flaw for a $69 battery.

@Chris yes course it is but metered correctly in manual lasts a heck of a lot longer .. instead of full flash and have your camera automatically correct exposure ...the manual way you use 1/8th - 1 /16th the power . .. the ad 360 gets over a thousand flashes on mine with the Y cable
