What do you folks think of DC Studios' Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters?

I think it's ambitious and exciting. The pitch feels like it's the equivalent of Marvel's Infinity Saga if they planned on getting to Endgame from the start. The Guardians, Suicide Squad and Peacemaker are not my favorite comic book projects but I've always appreciated Gunn's heart and skill as a writer and director which makes me excited to see what he can do with Superman. After reading the comic I'm really excited for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Most of all I'm excited that there is a plan with characters we are family with and ones we aren't quite so familiar with. Personally I think Billy Magnussen would be a great Booster Gold and Isabel May would be perfect for Supergirl especially after her work on 1883.

I think it's good that the first line up are not solo movies for the big seven since we've already seen most of that in the dceu. I like that this is an established universe where super heroes already exist and superman is throwwn in the middle of that instead of him being the first super human being known to man. The line of movies or this line up is okay so far good variety of characters not known to the general audience which means new characters to explore and new stories to tell. In future chapters we'll see flash, wonder woman aqua man etc again and maybe we'll get a cyborg solo movie. Mr Gunn please make static shock happen.

Billy Magnussen is an interesting choice for Booster Gold. I can see him pulling off that obnoxious superhero celebrity really well.

Yeah i've been thinking about the variety aspect a lot since this upload and planning to branch off into another video. It could be one of the pitfalls the DCEU had, in that because it didn't have the correct management structure and planning, it spent too much time in-between movies.There was nothing to fill the gap. But the fact it started with the big 3, then into the seven, it didn't leave much room for others to interweave. In that way its different than the MCU. Because its not grounded in reality (ie new york) it can start with superheroes already existing.

I am so excited for this universe to finally come alive and be connected. It’s in the hands of someone who ( #JamesGunn ) not only loves the comics but someone who knows how to world build and great with character development. I love #ZackSnyder’s vision, but when I found out the universe was being rebooted. It finally became its own Studio 💪🏾 I knew my childhood was about to come to life. #DC has amazing characters, teams and stories. #DCU has the potential to be the greatest entertainment. #RiseDCU
