It was okay until the end, then it got trite. No cop is going to start shooting into a concrete box lined in steel pipes when it's full of Schrodinger's kids. They would be crucified (literally) by the gallery when the bodycams were shown in court. The bit where they kept shooting at Weasel when there was a child physically between them is on a completely different level, particularly when they WATCH a living child get dropped, then crushed by debris. The set-up itself was fine, but it was very badly executed. Enough to end suspension of disbelief unless you have enough bias against police to go with they're so trigger happy they'll shoot at the kids they're there to rescue.

It just dawned on me with your mention of purple gems. Manipulation, Magic, and the 1st part of the DCU saga being titled Gods and Monsters. It actually makes me think of someone trapped in a gem manipulating events. He might be the overarching villain in the new DCU saga. Just a theory. Gorilla Grodd might be alone in manipulating the princess. Plus, if he is the over arching villain, he might be revealed in later shows.

I do wonder if Gunn is gonna keep classic-looking suits for the heroes he showed in the flashback. So this is what I got from that flashback: - Batman will have long and wide cape and his cowl will have middle length bat ears - Wonder Woman will have Golden Tiara, but very classic looking - If that was Booster Gold, then he will have blonde hair? - Damien's sillouette looks on par with how his Robin suit is more modern, tactical and brutal looking. But also, he'll be a teenager instead of pre-/early teen, like in his first appearence - Supergirl will have a skirt - Starfire will have her comic book suit, but also the fact that James Gunn has plans for her character. Then there's a possibility for Teen Titans and Dick Grayson to appear. Again, these changes might be changed down the line, considering that there's no finished screenplays atm for most of the characters in this flashback, so the designs will change. But personally, god I wish they'd make Batman's cape as long as in 2004 series.

Damian is stated to be 9 years old in his first movie. Unsual cause he is always 10 when he first meets Bruce but here he is already establised at 9. You would think he would make him OLDER to make sense of his fighting ability but no..we will see a 9 year old beating up grown thugs in live action

CC keeps getting better and better I loved Weasel backstory including Gorilla Grodd and Princess Illana ruling the world by causing WW3 man this gets me so hyped for more. The world building really needs to be studied like we have Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Hawkgirl, Peacemaker, Vigilante, Judomaster, Mr. Terrific, Booster Gold, Robin(Damian Wayne), and more. I can’t wait for next week’s episode looks like we are getting a Frankenstein episode! Hyped for more DCU!

I felt so sad for weasel...he was having such a great time with the kids and just based off a assumption tragedy strikes....the kids lose their lives in the accident and weasel gets shot at a few times and arrested....hopefully his lawyer can help him. Great writing in this episode
