Here's some more info: In the original Japanese translation of the manga, Shimon's language indicates that Exodia is not his personal Ka, but some sort of guardian deity that existed before recorded history. We're never told why Exodia is loyal to the palace, but he's been around for a while, since Shimon calls him an "ancient spirit" in all adaptations. Some fans believe that Exodia was Atem's father's ka (in the manga at least). While it would make sense for the former Pharaoh to wield a god of his own, they seem to be basing it off a misinterpretation. Shimon mentions that Exodia served the former Pharaoh, but he probably meant that Exodia was defending the Pharaoh's court.

The dragon is actually called the sky dragon of Osiris so its name is not Osiris itself more like a pet of Osiris

tbf, that gets easily contradicted too, several times you can hear Atem or any other God card holder refer to them as "Ra", "Slifer/Osiris", and "Obelisk". I highly doubt Atem, the literal Pharoah, would call Ra's supposed "pet/avatar" by their actual name. The way I've always seen it is just that irl, they couldn't just name the cards "Ra" or "Osiris" since that would be fairly boring for the series, so they gave them those names since they dramatized them by giving them more Draconic/Demonic designs

I recently got the manga, and it calls Slifer/Osiris, Obelisk, and Ra as gods. Osiris being the God of the Sky, Ra being the God of the Sun, and Obelisk being the God of the Earth.
