I have 8mm movies of my dad and his friends fishing God's River in 1961, have his mount of his Master Angler Brookie, the largest caught in the Province that year.

The loop knot is not just for movement. The clinch knot will shake loose, and for that reason I NEVER use it. Even on the tiniest flies I've learned to tie a loop knot. Loop knots never shake free, tippet will always break first. Plus the loop knot adds movement to the small nymphs which makes a difference on smart or pressured fish. I also believe the same is true for dry flies.

(Paraphrasing) "I used 3 flies the entire time I was there, (Henry's lake) and 2 of them were black electric leeches." -Mark Melnik that hilarious line earned me a pb 6lb cutbow on Henry's.

The lodge & amenities are awesome 👍. Tho for NORMAN people on low income & bread line income. This is just DEPERING & undrgrating people. I would camp out in the bush, next to the river. & cook up my own food. Saving myself $500 . Fishing when you want, eat what you brought, & now hassle of TIME.

Yes YOU can. Just bring along your camping gear, & camp in the bush 😉. That's what I do. Take advantage of the spectacular wilderness & nature. A couple of beer flats, hot dogs, eggs , you are SET 🤪
