Paul Mercedes Yeah man totally right with you, but as you say 47 years sully is not screaming his lungs out like the godsmack or awake era, but yeah his one of the best singers, guitarist, drummers, musicians on the world, hope that the new album doesn't come out till 2018 as the 4 year cicle on the band is pretty normal nowadays.

Tommy may not be as technical as Shannon but he's still my favorite drummer outta the two and Tony's one of my favorite guitarist to say the least even practiced his guitar stance over the years love the old Godsmack though probably went through over half dozen awake albums over the years what a tight band they were they still are i just prefer the old Godsmack this here is prime Godsmack

Sully wrote the drum tracks for the first two albums and, in my opinion, they fit Godsmack far better than Shannon’s more “technical” drumming. Godsmack weren’t trying to reinvent rock. They were/are straightforward, in-your-face rock/alternative/whatever they’re categorized as these days. Drop D, chugga-chugga, YEAH. The three core elements of Godsmack.
