I grew up with Metallica's guitar harmonies, Pantera's heavy riffs, Dimes unprecedented solos and Slipknots aggressiveness. Not to mention dozens of other bands. Then SOAD came along. The vocals harmonies of Dan and Serj were never experienced elsewhere. Just phenomenal, and still are today.

A bit of a shame really, since if he was younger he could still regularly do his awesome growls and screams. With practice he might still be able to, but we'll never know if SoaD never releases another album.

Daron’s guitar performance & sonic dynamics impressed me most, while Shavo & John gave him & Serj the rigid backbone to showcase themselves. I play bass in live venues & studios with original & cover acts, so I’m partial to recognizing & praising what drums & bass deliver, especially when you have unique performers like Daron & Serj on stage with you; you wanna give them the solid foundation & launchpad to explode on…they did just that & gifted us an incredible show, worthy of the camera & audio efforts.

Sorry to disappoint guys, but it's actually all 3 at once. It's one of the most impressive performances live because not only all of them are fucked but their instrumental front man is literally FUBAR, as seen on the small clips people pointed out. Notice that everytime one of the band mates fazes out into space they instantly remind each other to wake the fuck up and play. It's beautiful. To this day I haven't seen anyone play live as FU as Daron here in front of a huge crowd. Takes guts to do that. Also it was the first and only time Serj came out with initiative to start out Bounce in a cool way and he was so pissed off at John for not starting the song, he never did it again 😂 From Lowlands onwards Daron always gives the que and starts the song. You can find the death stare at around 50 min into the show.
