My older brother told me I was a broken pot and God smashed useless pots on the rocks. He was a Christian and I was a teenager. I was a problem child because of incest and other domestic abuse that lasted 2 decades. I went on to marry 2 abusers. I am now 53 and last year God came and found me. He sent me the Jesus Prayer. Said I should use that instead of the Eastern beliefs and systems I had turned to because I believed my brother. I had felt ashamed to be with the Christians around me because of what he said. So as a teenager I turned to Eastern practices and later the occult. And choose friends who did the same or were atheists. Now, I tell that voice in my head, which seldom speaks now, that I will do everything I can to find my way back to God through His Son, our saviour. The voice has been telling me for nearly 4 decades that I am a waste of space and have no value. The Jesus Prayer has been a rope in the darkness. I hold onto it as the days pass. My life is transforming at a rapid pace since last year. I change country and spend hours each day in my rediscovered Christian faith. I was not brought up Catholic but protestant. Yet I find all the answers my soul and heart crave in the Orthodox and Catholic teachings, recent discovery for me. (I am still confused on the distinction between the two terms but making progress) Thank you for this video. We all need as much guidance as we can get, in these troubled times. As it says in the Bible, the last will be the first. There are many people that say they are Christian but act the opposite way, I feel it’s the eviltrying to make other dislike religion and their faith. If your brother said that, then he committed a sin, to curse someone like that. I am glad and so happy that you finally are free to be the Child of God you are. “The last will be the first” because some come first to faith but they don’t mean it, and others that come later, when they come, they come with their hearts. My journey into the occultism started with tarot and reiki. I really had never heard of either, and didn't know anything about it, and so I was so open when a friend of mine introduced me. At 1st, I just saw this something . Later, I understood it to be like a tool of the world that we could use to help us. But It wasn't until I was introduced to "The Secret" and the idea of your thoughts being your creation that I became lost, and all in. Praise Jesus, with the help of his mother, he pulled me out and granted me the grace to see the deception in the law of attraction teachings.

Yes, I believe that that is the experience of many people since is becoming so normalized. There are people who go into occult things with bad intentions, but others I think, (it doesn’t make it good of course) go by ignorance, and think they are doing something good, improving themselves, etc. but it’s a rabbit hole and the end is like you are magician breaking the first commandment Jesus left us: Love God above all. A lot of modern lines of evil disguised as alternative and self improvement are just a profound need to control everything, but if you are controlling everything, it means you don’t trust God, you lost your faith. Faith as lot to do with the virtue of patience. I had to ask myself a lot of hard questions lately. It’s beautiful to walk in Faith in God.

Just watched this video. Enjoyed it! Thank you! I watch Monsignor Rossetti’s prayer sessions each month. Father Bonaventure-something you said struck me, and I believe helped me. That a difference between praying to God, to the Holy Spirit is more of an openness, a receptivity. Whereas in occult practices, there is a grasping, a striving. It struck me. I have always prayed. Since I was a kid. Raised Catholic. I have been praying for some time now for my daughter, 28 years old, with multiple medical problems, newly diagnosed with type one diabetes. Praying not only for her physical health, but her spiritual health as well. At times I have begged God for a miracle, adding “if it be Your Holy Will”. Your comments made me think that I must begin my prayers, and my days, with acceptance, openness, and gratitude. No more grasping, or striving. I think it is pretty normal for a mom’s prayers for her child to become desperate. There is nothing worse than to watch someone you love so much suffer. But now I’ll start from a place of gratitude, love, & acceptance, knowing God will give me what I need to help her in every way. Thank you. (Sorry for such a long post)

Please pray for my fiancée I believe she has developed a serious mental illness and has been involved in witchcraft and tarot cards, I love her dearly and don't want to see her suffer. We belong to God, so invite only the Holy Spirit to come into you and live throuh you. Live the Faith. Avail of all the means of(Catholic) formation. Receive the sacraments (reconciliation and Euharist) regularly, so as not to allow the evil one to creep in because it can also take 'control' of you by way of venial sins building up to mortal sin, it is not always in the form of bodily possession that one sees in the movies. Do you we have free will from conception to present? We can choose God's healing and ways. But there's no such thing as 100% free will. I didn't will being born to alcoholic abusive parents or sexual perversions from generations back, etc. Do not or have not these things not willed, negatively impacted me? Did I will those? Free will throughout our infancy and childhood at 100% is a lie that's pushed onto people at the expense of the victim for the satisfaction of the "pusher". Those things not willed may negatively "corral" a persons will and demons cspitalize on such abuses. Just an insight I heard from a Theological counselor, a Bible based one.

Forgiveness is not forgetting and acting like nothing happened. You forgive for the sake of your own soul. My mother was a malignant narcissist, bordering on psychopathy. It took me many years to recognize that but by the time I did, I was able to forgive her. She had been dead many years but even tho I was not completely aware of the damage she had done when she died, I took care of her her last year and held her hand as she passed. Our parish failed to send a priest because it was dinner time. (hmmm, someone else I need to forgive) and she was in a panic. I remembered learning that if a priest wasn't available at the end, a sincere Act of Contrition was enough. We also had some holy water we had brought from Lourdes years earlier so I blessed her with that and made the Act of Contrition with her. But I didn't know about the power of forgiveness until a few years ago. When I spoke it in prayer, I was healed. I actually didn't know what I needed to forgive her for.

Doreen, the word yoga comes from the Indian Sanscrit word " Yog ". You means Union or " Divine Yoke ". What that means is using a practice to achieve permanent Divine Union with God. Christ is the Way, The Truth and The Life. The Catholic Church is not The Way. Jesus taught us to have a private and secret and very Sacred relationship with The One God. When I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at 14 ( By the way I'm 65 today May 17th ) I didn't even know what the Bible was. But God revealed Himself to me and filled me with His Knowledge and Consciousness. If you haven't surrendered your Soul and Will to God through Christ I strongly suggest you do it now! You can't just think about it you Must ask God directly. Believe me He Will Reveal His Presence unto and into you.
