Awesome work good sir! Glad everything came together, some elements you did better than I did :D

It's crazy the amount of different ideas on how to make it better AFTER its complete. I wish I knew how tough the latex would have been. I would have chosen to do a Godzilla that stands straight up instead of one that leans a bit forward.
@AtomicStickFigure6 ай бұрын
@@Crainage1056 yeah, that was a harsh lesson with the Hyper Godzilla, it was built in a crouch and it would have been better if I'd have done the body base upright and just sculpted it so that the outer frame work was in a hunch

Great work! Everything in the suit goes together so well! Although I do see two flaws, (I’ve never made anything like this in my life so forgive me if it seems rude or inaccurate in any way) the head is a little blocky and smooth compared to everything else, and the hatch opening and closing as you walked was a little distracting. But other than that it was increasingly! 9/10👍
@Crainage10566 ай бұрын
Yes, it is my one and only cosplay ever. the head was like that because I do lack the experience, if I gave myself more than a year, probably would have been a better idea. Crunch time really prevented me from doing more. And the hatch was so I didn't suffocate lol. Thank you for the complements. If i do make improvements, I want to re-do the entire head, smaller perhaps, then the hands which i can't draw or make, then light up and color the fins grey.

@Crainage10566 ай бұрын
I would have liked to but unfortunately this is a 2 car haul, although g-fest is half a day drive for me, the suit is also very large. Maybe of I ever make a smaller and lighter, this one is about 80 pounds lol.

Did you have a moment of heat stroke or did you just simply trip at the end? I'm glad the crowd was still supportive despite the fall. Very well made suit!
@Crainage10566 ай бұрын
Thanks. I actually tripped over my own feet. I didn't take a wide enough step and fell. It was actually so soft, it was safer falling while inside the suit than no suit.
@tovartheawesome6 ай бұрын
@@Crainage1056 Awesome! Glad to hear it wasn't a heat stroke. How hot was it in there in the end? How long could you be in it before you NEED a break? I noticed some shots with you walking around with the back open for what I can only assume was for airflow.
@Crainage10566 ай бұрын
@@tovartheawesome Yes that was for air, and main enterance. there was some slits at the throat of it, plus 4 portable fans on the inside. It was still hot, I ended up walking about 45 inutes all the way to the Judging room, another 10 minutes in it at that time, then I had kinda had it on another 15 behind the stage, waiting to go on stage. It was a fun day. My shoulders were sore for a week.

Watch the "Kaiju Workshop 101 Pilot" video made by SeanSumagaysay. most of the beginning process was from that, then a lot of improv for the hands, head, tail, and fins. If you plan to make a Godzilla, I recommend making it standing, mine was slightly slouching forward and it hurt quite a bit. He does have an etsy for the patterns on Etsy. My suit was about 80 pounds.
