So many people dumped on this series. I thought it was a cool take on the Godzilla story. When he first appeared (@1:23 here) I thought he was terrifying. I wish they had kept the MechaGodzilla fight in it and the Ghidorah concept grew on me after awhile. I've watched all three movies in Japanese only, with English subs and English dubbed. It's definitely worthy.

When the early reports of a colossal new threat in "GxK The New Empire" surfaced, I genuinely believed the threat could be a Godzilla Earth type villain and the early descriptions of Shimu legitimately sounded like it could be. Excessive leaks typically happen with bad films (Rise of Skywalker for instance), so my expectations aren't sky high for this movie any more, however I am still excited to see how they pull it off and the test screening information could eventually prove inaccurate.

One thing to note: Godzilla is not a universal thing, creatures like Godzilla who took over their planet is what metphis was talking about. These would eventually be eaten by ghidorah who would after destroy the planet.
